Styles make for great fights. So, for Mayweather to be beaten, all that is required is an opponent whose punching power and ring generalship is as Mayweather's boxing skills. So far, none of the brawlers Mayweather has faced have possessed that level of skills.
Joe Frazier versus Ali I is an example of this. Joe Frazier wasn't as accomplished a boxer as Ali, but his style and level of skill allowed him to negate Ali's ring generalship and land those left hooks that got him there.

he can definitely be beat...i never once believed there's a fighter that can't lose (RJJ was the closest IMHO) BUT i'd be a rich man if I knew how to beat FLoyd.

    He cant be beaten..

If i was to fight him, i would try to throw jabs and really just push him to the ropes and bully for however long u like. Problem is hes top 5 in defense ever!! SO your chances are very small to land. Frustraed by the 4th round...I might throw a headbutt if i cant land :lol:

Ali is greater than Floyd. But his defense isnt. Hes just hard to hit. Its not just the shoulder roll. Its the angles. The intangibles. The shoulder roll. The instincts. The footwork. Floyds not there to be hit, even when he's right infront of you.

Floyd is Unbeatable, he is the first active boxer to master the art of matchmaking. Established ducking as part of his defensive arsenal, very impressive :think

True, Mayweather knows who to fight... he fights ''champions'' but is tailor made for him instead of going for the riskier fights against Thurman, Lara, Pacquiao etc.

It's so ridiculous that guys still harp on about this.. why couldn't castillo do it in the 2nd fight?? I'l tell you why, because 1. floyd had an injured shoulder in the first fight. 2. Floyd improved and adapted... jesus over 10 years ago or something and still this is the blueprint lol. He's way more experienced now.

The only style i see being able to beat floyd is a tall guy, one punch ko and good boxing ability... a tommy hearns style fighter. You need a guy who can land one clean shot and hurt him... maybe even drop n stop him in one shot. It's such a rare thing to get that fighter though.

have speed. have long arms and keep distance. have a good engine. high tempo. 1-2's all night. ability to stick to a game plan. keep a cool head. good footwork.

Khan would give him nightmares (when he's good, he would give anyone nightmares), but khan lacks the discipline/beard and at times has shitty footwork.

Tommy Hearns would be a bogey fight for Floyd. Always thought he'd have some difficulty against Paul Williams, although I don't think Paul Williams would have beaten him, I think it's that stature that could beat him.

I reckon it takes the way DLH fought him to beat him. All just guesswork though.
