How can Froch be considered better than Calzaghe

I really enjoy watching Froch fight..

But I think Calzaghe was better and has a better resume.

 

Whilst Froch has fought tough consecutive fights Calzaghe has solid fighters on his resume too:-
Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy, Bika, Kessler, Huggy Bear and Jones jr.

All the above fighters compare to who Froch has been fighting the only difference is Calzaghe had weak defences in between the tough ones.

 

He can't, unless you believe losing to Kessler and Ward and beating a few guys who were not as good as Kessler and Hopkins somehow makes him better.

 

It's clear Calzaghe was the more gifted and more complete boxer.

But you have to admire how Froch has never shied away from a challenge. In the 12 title fights he's had he's only ever taken 1 easy opponent in Yusaf Mack. His resume since becoming champion is nothing short of amazing.

Calzaghe for all his vaunted ability, never had the same self belief that Froch has always seemed to have. His reign as champion was littered with nondescript opposition unlike Froch.

I think that Calzaghe was a better boxer but i think that Froch has a better resume.

Calzaghe was better in h2h terms, frochs legacy is better, once froch retires and people look back in hindsight his standing will increase massively.

 

He isn't anyone who thinks so is either a member of Froch's family or from Nottingham anyone who knows anything about boxing can see who the better fighter is.

Froch is willing to to take risks and put it all on the line against the best out there, Hatton also did the same, which is why Froch and Hatton rank higher than Calzaghe to any true boxing fans.

 

Because Calzaghe fought nothing but bums in his firest 35+ in Europe then fought a shot and old Roy and went life and death with grandpa Popkins that could have gone either way.
