How can Froch say Golovkin's opposition is weak?

Look at it this way p4p there isn't much in it and Golovkin is still early on in his career.

If Golovkin got dropped a 19 bout novice and striggled over 2 fights to beat them, or got dropped by a fighter from a liwer weight moving up and needed to go to the last 10 seconds to win or boxed another under 20 bout novice win a home town decision or an over 40 moving down a weight with over 10 losses and won a questionable decision (watch it without the commentary) I'm sure he would get a lot of ****.

He's just too good for his own good at the minute.

    ...

Froch has a far far better resume than Golovkin and it isn't even close

Froch's win over Dirrell is better than any name Golovkin has, actually it's probably better than his entire resume. That win alone!!!

Shame he should have lost that fight- Dirrell clearly won imo.

Though Froch has the far better resume, I agree.

LOL at claiming the Glen Johnson fight was a robbery

Froch's first title fight win over Pascal is better than any single win of Golovkin's career. Their resumes are simply not comparable.

Froch's resume is much better, with or without dirrell. Golovkin already beat dirrell btw :D

Might have been true IF he had a clear victory there.

I don't think the Dirrell win was a robbery, but the fight could easily have been judged either way.

Golovkin has no such results on his resume. All his major bouts have been decided by KO.

At this point, a small case can be made for Froch being greater, given that Kessler and Ward are both a step above GGG's competition, but it appears to be just a matter of time till GGG moves clearly ahead of him.

In fact, a bout between the pair of them would probably settle matters.

What did Kessler do other than beating Froch? It seems like as time passes wins are made out to be better than they are. Kessler is a good fighter, but his key win is.. beating Froch. In the larger sceheme of things, the opposition is similar. Golovkin just makes it look a lot easier.

The only SMW with a clearly better resume is Ward, because he beat both Froch and Kessler... and even then the only real leg up is the Froch win as Froch resume is more or less equivalent to GGG and Kesslers value lies largely in beating Froch.

If Froch cant get Chavez in the ring, he ought just face GGG and settle matters. Theres a really easy way to find out who the better fighter is, a pity its not used more often.

Froch has the right to speak his mind .

If he say Golovkins opposition is weak , then so be it .

Man, Froch has fought and beaten several future HoF'ers, it isn't strange if he thinks Golovkin has had an easy ride so far. Wish there were a few more fighters like Froch around.

    Like who ?

    Kessler ?

Mikel is the best name that Carl has beaten and he has also lost to him, splitting their series at 1-1.

And Mikkel is faaaar from certain as a HoFer, he's a maybe.

Apart from that one 'maybe', he has beaten no HoFers.

Golovkin has 2 victories (Geale, Macklin) that would be among Froch's 7 or 8 best victories (Kessler II, Bute, Pascal, Abraham, Taylor, Johnson, Groves II, Dirrell). The gap between Froch's top 4 wins and Golovkins' 2 best is massive, and I'm a huge Geale fan.
