Roldan had a pro record not unlike that of Hagler's, at least as strong and harder hitting. Plus,, hard to hit even with one eye closed. his head movement made it almost impossible to hit him

Sibson was peaking and fought his way up to the top rank, leaving a trail of broken bodies in his wake

Obel, another puncher, was unbeaten

Hearns too had peaked

Lee had only lost to Animal Fletcher and had emerged victorious in 1981's fight of the year

of course there was Hamsho who always emerged victorious, even when the odds were overwhelmingly against him

and Mugabi, also unbeaten and peaking

why then do you say the division was weak?

If it were really weak, Leonard and Hearns would have taken the fight years sooner

 

He's better than Monzon though.
