Look at his last two fights. Both Casa and Diaz hit him often. The Casa fight was neck and neck up until the final round. The Diaz fight, Diaz was dominating for the first half of the fight Floyd is at least two levels above these two fighters Top that off with the completely unfair weight advantage, and this is a fight Marquez can't possibly win Diaz was too fast. Floyds even faster, and with all that extra mass, Marquez will be a lot slower Diaz hit him often. Floyd will hit him more often and far harder This fight is one of the unfairest miismatches of the 21st Century
It depends if the layoff has done anything to Floyd. Marquez could probably make things interesting but I don't see him featuring at all in the fight.
marquez chance of winning this, is whether or not floyd gets careless like he did against oscar, and almost lost the fight himself.... if floyd decides to dance early and spends time trying to figure out marquez, i expect marquez to steal some early rounds.....if that happens and marquez makes his mid-round adjustments.....he has the capability of stealing the fight on the cards....
nice thought, but Marquez doesnt stand a chance of winning on the cards if the fight is even remotely close
sadly i feel that way as well, they are not going to give a close fight to a 36 year old marquez, when mayweather has big fights on the horizon....
The only way I can see Marquez winning is if Mayweathers supposed injured rib is still hurting and he catches Mayweather with a perfect bodyshot
For JMM to have a chance, he has to follow his game plan to perfection. If he deviates from it and fights the way FMJ wants him to fight, then it's all over for him.
floyd has no power his punches are just perfectly timed,,marquez has the punching power and the only way for him to win is if mayweather stood toe to toe with marquez which most likely wont happen
Mate, we're talking about a natural welter against a natural super feather (he only moved up to lightweight to chase Manny). Floyd's shots will feel like lazer zaps Besides, May's power is vastly underrated
I think it still depends on the kind of preparation, mentally and physically, both fighters have done coming into this fight. Marquez trains like an animal and I think he really feels he can outdo Floyd. Him believing in himself is enough for him to have a chance to take this one even though a lot of people are doubting him. I'll always give marquez a chance. He may have had trouble fighting aggressive fighters like Juan Diaz and Pacquiao, but he has always been able to adjust. Floyd I think is not exactly as aggressive. I think Marquez can land some solid blows.
