    ??

Will JMM not just use his footwork to stay out of range? Will he not just use his ring-generalship, timing and speed to counterpunch and move out before Diaz can do much about it? Will Diaz get to hit him much anyway, even if we assume JMM is slower and easier to hit, these days? And even if JMM will be less active and sharp, will he still not be too precise and sharp for Diaz?

Can Diaz walk through JMM's punches? How? Pacquaio couldn't, and he's more explosive, unpredictable, fast, etc...Will Diaz be able to take the punishment needed to get inside?:huh

this is what i've been saying all along. everything juan diaz does, pac does better. and jmm gave pac hell so he sould win against diaz. then other posters say that boxing, mathematics does not work and boxing is all about match-ups. well, boxing mathematics works in this case, at least IMO.

jmm draw, sdloss - pac, pac>diaz, jmm>diaz. book it

jmm has only lost to two types of fighters. one that could hurt him (Norwood, pac, mab to a certain extent) and one that is as technical as he is (john). diaz is neither so go figure

I think Diaz has shown the chin to walk through punishment when needed. Campbell threw a lot of leather at him, landed a lot, yet Diaz himself threw close to 1000. That shows his willingness to take damage to throw his own.

He must do that in this fight, and he must make an impression on Marquez on rounds 1-6 to make his job easier down the stretch if he has any chance. I think its going to be difficult because Marquez is quicker and has better footwork, and his timing is superb. Diaz is really going to have to push him back onto the ropes and keep him there for as long as possible and hope he can wear him down.

Diaz has a strong chin, and will to win.

But its not enough to win against a masterful J.M.Marquez...

Im still picking for JMM UD.

I think marquez will be too much for Diaz. Diaz doesn't have the power to hurt jmm and if he struggles going in without getting countered punched then Diaz will be in for a long night. Can't wait to see this fight live tho I just bought my tickets this past weekend. I'm looking foward to seeing chris john too.

Diaz can walk through Marquez for a spell, yes. But let's not forget how excellent Marquez's uppercut is. We'll see.

JMM is too good. UD win for JMM here. Then hopefully Hatton beats Pac, which I doubt, because Pac will kind of be forced to give JMM a 3rd fight if that happens.

And to answer your anyones question about whether or not Diaz can "walk thru" Marquez's shots; have you ever boxed? You don't walk thru counter punches you don't see coming...and thats the shots he's gonna be taking. Sharp, quick, precise and accurate counters he doesn't see.

still a 50/50 fight for me. i'm slightly leaning towards jmm due to styles, but diaz is pretty good at what he does. very good activity level, though that would provide jmm with more opportunity's. basically, i think if jmm can duplicate his movement in the pac fight he'd keep diaz in check. although pac never tried to fighting jmm inside as diaz will attempt. if marquez could time and counter greased lightning like pac, diaz should'nt be hard for him to mark. jmm by clear UD for me.

Andrade walks through counter-punches he doesn't see coming...and so did Margarito against Cotto...!

Given that JMM would load up and doesn't have that much power anyway, if Diaz' chin and heart are good enough, he might be able to do it...and apply pressure, push JMM back and grind him down. IF...

Margarito walked through Cotto's shots. Everyone bet on him to do the same against Mosley. Mosley is faster and sharper then Cotto and Margo saw Cotto's shots much better then he saw Mosleys. Margo wasn't close to walking thru Mosley's shots. They were bothering him the whole fight, he was backing up after a few rounds in there. Mosley is not that much of a harder puncher then Cotto, it is the speed and accuracy of the shots that make the difference.

he's got the chin, if Diaz gets stopped it'll be on cuts...also Diaz has a very good jab, plus he's good at circling and using angles, i think he'll be able to get inside from time to time but not without taking some damage

i think this fight will be alot closer then people think, but i say JMM in a close but clear UD

If only Diaz had a respectable punch. JMM kayoed Casamayor at 135, no small feat . Just like his fight with Campbell, Diaz will be more vulnerable than Marquez will be . When Diaz and "The Atomic Warrior" traded leather, it was Diaz that got busted up. Though not as strong a puncher as Campbell, Marquez places his punches better, and when he lands flush on Diaz's onrushing face , damage will be done. JMM will take Diaz's punches well. That may be the difference in this one. A busted up Diaz loses a decision.
