Like in the MAB fight, I can see where JMM will eat a few of those jabs at the reward of landing a much heavier right hand that he will follow over the top with.
.....thats how he dealt with MAB, Marquez was intstinctively timeing MAB's jab and throwing a thudding right over it.
.....and let me tell you, Diaz is'nt half as cerebral as MAB is.

What fight have you seen of JMM that makes you believe he cant fight 3 minutes of every round?

Marquez came out in the 12th in the Pacquiao rematch, and won it on just about everybodies' mind.....and it was a high paced fight.

A shot to **** Popo Freitas.. but that is irrelevant. What matters here is that Juan has lots of experience against fighters that tried to counterpunch him, and he tore through all of them rather easily. Has JMM fought a true pressure fighter? No. Never mind somebody with the size and speed of Diaz. If he somehow neutralizes Diaz workrate then he has a chance, but we know he cant do that. And we've all seen how much judges prefer volume over clean punches

A shot to **** born to quit Acelino Freitas, but its irrelevant?:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Judges do prefer volume in many cases......but those cases have seldom been in instances where the boxer is fighting rather cautious and not putting a whole lot in his punches......

.....JMM puts mustard on his punches, and he fights at a high workrate himself to boot.....thats a big difference when you compare him with boxers like Pernell Whitaker who never put much leverage on his shots.

We know he cant neutralize Diaz' workrate?????
Thats as ridiculous a statement as I've ever heard in this boxing forum!:patsch:nut

You live, sleep and breath JMM . . . Divac . . . so I'm not suprised. :rofl

Have you seen JMM in a brawl for 12 rounds? Check JMM's resume and tell me if you see any names in there that brawls like Diaz. :deal

If you failed to comprehend my earllier post here it is in another form.

I'm expecting Diaz to push, go inside to force JMM to a brawl. If JMM hits him solidly on the way in . . . Diaz gets TKOed. If Diaz is succesful in staying inside THEN he has a chance to win it by points by out working the 35 year olf JMM. That's why my analysis is JMM by TKO or Diaz by points.

Team Diaz is not that dumb . . . they'll be stupid if they'll prepare a fight plan that will give JMM a chance to snipe which is JMM's strongest point. So Diaz will take the risks of getting hit while coming in and he won't give JMM a chance to breath or reload . . . continuos close in battle pressure.
Have you seen JMM in this kind of scenario ???

    . . . other factors . . Diaz is just 25 yrs and a regular 140 pounder.

Now tell me what's wrong with my thinking. :think

Pacquiao does'nt rest his chest on his opponets chest, but he'd be alot harder imo to make get off of you, as he fights at a highworkrate and throws down with thunder, which is something Diaz simply cannot do.

I'm going to respect your opinion Psycho and move on.....but I want to see you come back here afterward and admit you were wrong......

......the reason you will have to admit you were wrong is that I believe that JMM will get the better of the inside exchanges, which is something you dont believe will happen.

If JMM bust up Diaz on the inside and has an easy time of it, will you admit Psycho, that JMM, not Pacquiao is the best P4P????

Dont you believe that beating Diaz at his own game would merit such an annointment for Marquez?:hey

Btw, I'm a big JMM fan no doubt, but I do post on a variety of subject matter on this board.....just now the JMM-Diaz fight is this weekend and its a hot topic!:deal;)

Diaz and Pacquaio has different fighting style . . . and Pac's style suits JMM more. Reason why the 2 fights were close. There are things that Pac can dish out that Diaz can't and vice versa there are things that Diaz can dish out that Pacman can't. For one Pac never crowds his opponent for 12 rounds.

Admit I was wrong ??? You're funny Divac . . . learn how to read! It already says there . . . JMM by TKO or Diaz by points but I'm biting the bullet and picking Diaz. What do you want me to admit?

If JMM beats Diaz in his own game . . . what does that have to do with JMM being the best p4p? The fact is . . . JMM already fought the Pac twice and he salvage a draw in the first fight by way of a scoring error and lost a close one on the second. Even if JMM fights Pac for the third time and win it . . . it will be 1 win each and 1 draw . . . and still it won't give JMM an advantage over Pacman because of the scorring error in the first fight.

Stick with the facts dude not with your insinuations. :deal

I like Juan Diaz, but he has no shot in this fight. He'll have his brief moments but he'll be clearly outclassed and lose by a fairly wide margin on the scorecard.

There's nothing that Diaz brings to the table that JMM has not seen before. Diaz is pretty one-dimensional, and although his handspeed is pretty good, his punches are still telegraphed a bit. He doesn't use his jab enough and he ALWAYS needs to have his feet squared to his opponent before he can punch. A crafty veteran like JMM will take advantage of this.

Diaz's combination punching is awesome, but when it comes down to it.. he's too predictable. JMM is a master tactician who can adapt to any style. There's nothing Diaz does that JMM will not be prepared for. He knows Diaz will want to come inside to throw combinations. His gameplan is evident. Whereas JMM isn't so clear to read.. he is too versatile. He's gonna be punching Diaz from every angle you can imagine and Diaz is not gonna see where a lot of these punches are coming from. Eating clean punches will cause Diaz to slow his workrate down a considerable amount. Believe that!

I read some guy earlier said something along the lines of "I doubt JMM can beat Diaz at his own gameplan like Nate Campbell did"... Well, I say he doesn't need to! Campbell gave a spectacular performance but JMM doesn't need to copy that gameplan. Because most guys can't beat Diaz at his own game. All of Diaz's signature wins were against guys who willingly stood in front of him. Katsidis, Freitas, even Julio Diaz, a good boxer, for some odd reason chose to bang with Diaz. And Julio, like everyone else, lost. Diaz has never seen a master boxer like JMM. JMM will be moving, hitting him going backwards, forwards, countering him, punching dude from every angle. Diaz has no ability to fight going backwards and will not be be able to adapt to everything JMM throws at him. Diaz is gonna be schooled in there, folks. Not gonna be pretty.

Just a simple correction . . . Julio Diaz didn't chose to bang it out . . . "he was forced to" . . . is the right description.

That's exactly what I'm reffering to . . . when I said Diaz cuts the ring well. :deal

    Exellent!:good

While JMM may very well be able to hang and get the better of the exchanges with Diaz, he does'nt have to do that, and it wont be in his best interest to do that even if Marquez gets the better of it, because simply giving the judges a notion that Diaz is competitive in there would be dangerous for JMM if it went to the scorecards in Diaz' home turf......

.....the surest bet is that Marquez is going to stay at long to mid-range and expose Diaz' faults from there.......

......but mark my words, there will be many instances where JMM will allow the inside game, and you just see who gets the better of it!:yep

Best P4P is'nt about head to head, is about adapting to a variety of styles, even going outside of what you do the best and getting it done.....

JMM taking it to beating Diaz at his own game would be a thing that p4p'er do......
.....like what Mayweather did to Hatton.....he rough and tumbled with Hatton on the inside, softened him up....then started to do something more Mayweatherish by pounding Hatton with the jab.....luring Hatton inside on the ropes, and unleaching the checkhook that was the beggining of the end.....
Mayweather first had to establish that he was'nt going to be pushed around by Hatton, and thats what makes him a true p4p'er.

I'm looking for the same from JMM against Diaz.
    A performance made for P4P'ers!:yep

    Agreed!

I believe we can also agree that Julio Diaz' capacities as a fighter could never be confused with JMM's!
