Box garcia the way he did at the start and stick to the plan, and he wins a rematch
But that aint going to happen because now I either see a kell brook v Khan fight in the UK which would be huge
Or Khan just steps up to 147 now and leaves wild card gym
Fresh start and someone needed that can drum into khans head to bloody listen to the trainer and stick to the plan ffs:patsch

    Good post :good

Amir's problem is mental, he believes his own hype and he is too unintelligent to understand the nuances of boxing. He believes that all he needs is his speed and that makes him unbeatable. He has no timing, skills or inside game. He fights like a fencer and does not have a strategic bone in his body.

He can still carry on in his career and be a contender, or win a title.

He's taken a lot of punishment for a young guy and has terrible defense. For his sake, I hope he retires fairly soon. He's made a lot of money and still achieved more than 99% of pro fighters.

Find a new trainer. It's not that Roach is a bad trainer, but he's better with "fighters" than "boxers" Khan is a tall guy and should be doing more boxing than fighting.
After that maybe two 10 rounders at Welterweight, than look for a championship fight.

get back in the gym , work on his defense

unlike everybody else around here i dont think he has a glass chin. He was taking garcias shots just fine up until he got caught with that monster left hook. His chin isnt great but it's not china either. He just needs to work on his defense , work on his boxing, and stop leaving himself open in exchanges.

I was never really impressed with khan and at this point he's just a good fighter who could get better or not who knows. People just like to overreact / sensationalize everything.

yeah they do. but if something keeps happening its usually legitimate.

the similarities between judah and khan are starting to show - impressive at their best, but both show they have serious flaws.

Rematch, and stick to being a boxer, in pure form. Jab...jab, then 2 to 3 punch combos then get the **** out, then repeat.

He just needs to be careful about fighter selection.

Khan finished in the talk about Mayweather forever its done, it could be a the end of his time with Roach mayba a fresh approach will do him some good. I think his days of being a p4p or hell even an elite fighter are behind him. I think if he's set with
his money he should call it a day and walk a way with his health and money and enjoy life but if he fights on and i think he will get a new trainer Amir

He needs to be more methodical and careful when he fights - a bit like Wladimir Klitschko mark II. No need to take risks and duke it out from the start when you can break people down with the jab first and stop them a bit later. Don't know if he has it in him, though.

Btw. for the people who say he should change: of course he should, but there is no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater - if he could just be disciplined enough to stick with that jab for the first 5-6 rounds of fights before engaging for real, that might solve a lot of his problems.
