Respect Khan for giving it a go toughest sport in world. Amir is not afraid to take on anyone. But he was a bit to confident for this fight.Nevertheless it would have been the same result ( had he fought cautious). Khan has no power to hurt Garcia.Danny had the punch to KO khan anytime he wants.
Some of this is mental and some is physical (He may need to change his style a bit) he has issues he really has to work on if he ever wants to be a top p4p4 talent. Don't Overlook your opponents (Forget about Mayweather, you are not in his class and never was) Do not throw punches just to throw punches (It's no need to throw a 5 punch combo for the hell of it or to get a reaction from the crowd, it will only waste energy) Be calm (If you get knocked down and are on wobbly legs its ok to clinch and not be macho, every loss especially in boxing is a huge setback especially when you're trying to establish yourself) Work behind the jab (Dude you have long arms and fast handspeed why not set things up with the jab more not to mention you are tall for the weight) Improve Defense (He may have to get rid of Roach on this and hire someone like Mayweather Sr. or Steward) Ring Generalship (Why do you run instead of use foot movement) Develop a body punching game (It wouldn't hurt nobody is saying you have to be JCC) He should atelast consider half of this if he wants to carry on his career He obviously is very talented, has heart and is marketable these are just my 2 cents.
Hearns was an ATG with great skills and arguably the best right cross ever, who got stopped by two of the greatest fighters ever, and a rugged tough middleweight. Hearns and Khan's abilities are light years apart.
Maybe moving to 147 would help. It helped Cotto. He was getting rocked at 140lbs and not to mention his weight drained fight with Pac. Not being weight drained helps.
