By using his chin to tire AJ by punching himself tired or getting over-confident and making mistakes. Parker has proved he is above "ordinary" and although he isn't dazzling with any particular skills, he is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades who can do everything to at least a decent level. Mentally Parker seems more self-assured than the typical Joshua opponent (not you Wlad) and will have the mindset that he is coming to win the fight, snatch some precious hardware, and take his place ontop the throne as the new king of boxing. Can't see it though. Joe's okay and seems a decent sort but AJ is going to put a serious hurting on him, taking him out/making him 'cry uncle' sometime around the halfway point. Joshua KO
Well if the site has a spelling bee or a trivia contest, we will make sure to call you. It will be your moment to shine.
Didn't we already do this thread? By punching when Joshua punches Parker can take advantage of Joshua's poor punching posture and land the better shots. If he studies AJ's reactions and baits him in with a faked deficit then all he has to do is be patient and Joshua will hand the KO to Joe. AJ bites on any bait more elaborate than a feint. Parker will need to be on his toes and defensive enough to not get hurt but so defensive he avoids exchanges. Once an exchange is initiated AJ will lose all sense of posture and when that happens JP can walk through what AJ is throwing to put him down with more perfect and technically sound punching. I don't think any fight in either fighter's career has anything to do with their potential match up.
How? He should follow these steps: a) survive the first rounds; b) wear AJ down; c) knock AJ out. Easy! Well, easier said than done.
Oh yeah I forgot AJ fights off his back foot, with very good movement and wears running shoes and a skirt. Opinion of a casual... true to his word
Learn how to throw a straight direct punch without moving forward, off balance as he completely misses the target almost always. This also against lower opposition. The best he looked was against Dan Martz. People are talking tactics on here but he cant do any tactics without the skills. If he hasn't corrected his arm punching sloppy accuracy looping shots , he's already dead in the water when that bell rings. Forget his hands low approach too, he's a complete amateur style and easy to hit, against Joshua this is going to be a mugging and Barry knows this if its not fixed. Well maybe he doesn't he's fighting the same as he was in his debut? I don't get it. Oh yea he better keep his eyes open BC he closes them at times and flinches or turns his head when a punch is coming at him and even when he's close range throwing them like he's pitching. Parker NEEDS this fight to go past 7 if he wants any chance. I think he runs right into a right hand and goes down , Joshua will TKO him when he gets up round 4.
If Parker has a chin like Tua's, he will give Joshua pure hell! Parker has fought far better opposition than Wilder, Wilder refused to fight Andy Ruiz, Ruiz is a good fighter.............very fast, great chin...............new trainer is making him awesome..............
Parker already knows how to beat Joshua and aleady has the plan to beat Joshua. Beat him to the jab and keep him a certain distance away, work at a fast pace and tire the giant muscle out and then step on the gas when Joshua looks gassed. Catch him with a big shot and dont let him off the hook. Unfortunatly Parker also doesnt have the best jab, doesnt have a great tank and gasses just like Joshua does. He doesnt have good enough footwork to keep Joshua away. My point being he has the plan to beat him but Parker just doesnt have the tools. Lucky punch whilst getting slaughtered on the cards and taking a beating in the fight is the only way i see him winning. And the OP says dont comment if all you have seen is his last 3 fight. Ive seen more than his last 3 fights but his last 3 fights were against the only decent opposition he has faced. Its those 3 fights that really told us how good or how hyped he was. And he didnt look great.
Even if his chin is that good he clearly doesn't like to get hit. He was forced to fight more cautiously vs Takam and Ruiz Jr, no way he can walk through Joshua's punches and stand and trade and swarm Joshua. He'll get ground up and forced back if he tries. A matador doesn't beat an on rushing bull by trying to match it for strength or power, you do so by out maneuvering it, getting it to attack and miss again and again until it's exhausted and then go in for the kill.
He's gotta try rough AJ up. Takam was doing his best Holyfield impression with sticking his head in, and managed to break AJs nose, which contributed to AJs poor performance as he couldn't breathe properly. Aj is known to gas, mixed in with a broken nose, and Parker has a great shot.
