HOW can PARKER beat ZHANG? - Your Tactics??

Parker needs to fight smart and especially move. Mos def a live dog in this fight.

 

This is a very good match up. Both men's confidence and tails are up after both having good previous wins.

I personally, can see a way for either man to win this TBH.

Parker has the edge on speed and general movement, plus stamina, and Zhang has the obvious edge power and strength wise.

It's very probably a 50-50 for me personally if both are at their very best.


I like both fighters a lot too so I'll reign it in with any fave fighter rooting for this one come fight night.

Well he landed that punch on everyone else he faced, including Tyson Fury. He obviously had some level of skill if it took over 40 fights until he missed.

Gotta agree on the odds though. Gonna make some good coin on this one.

 

He came into his last fight off the back of a one round KO against Helenius. It then took the "much more skilled" AJ 7 rounds to do the same.

Fellow kiwi and parker fan but I see him getting banged out. Zhang is the hardest hitting HW

 

It could be like the Joyce fight.

 

If Parker comes in way too heavy and tries to duke it out, it could yes.

I don't think he'll be that foolish.

 

He will get involved at some point, Zhang is a bit too clever just to be outmanouvered by Parker all night, and Parker isnt the most disciplined at doing it either. He bullied Wilder because thats the way to beat him, he outboxed a shot Chisora in his 2nd attempt because thats what everyone does. He hit Joyce with the Kitchen sink and not a dent in him, surely he would of had the power at larger weight.

Zhang will also come in lighter than his 280lbs+ hes stronger and hits harder than Parker, he will just want to catch him with those fast hands.


I aint saying Parker cant do it but he needs a very good gameplan and be sharp, your right about the weights Parker wants to be in 240s, and Zhang 260s.

 

Jerry Forrest nearly beat Zhang by just hanging in there and never giving up the attack. If he can do it then Parker can. I'm not saying he will but it's a way to win for him. He might take some very big knocks early in the fight however, but he's got a good chin and a big heart so it might be enough to get him into the second half of the fight. He got knocked down heavily by Whyte and still nearly got a stoppage. The knockout to Joyce was an accumulation knockout and those are a bit different from flash knockdowns or regular knockdowns. Even if you have heart to burn it can be impossible to recover from because all your other reserves are empty. I don't think too much should be read into that.
