I don’t think Zhang ever showed he was a better boxer. He’s a dangerous man but the skill gap showed later night. Parker is a clever boxer with Lee in his corner and deservedly won.

 

I have Zhang a pass for this due to his kidney problems. People needed to look no further than the Hrgovic fight where Zhang gased badly too. Problem is the Hrgovic hype train on here is terrible given the guy has done absolutely nothing other than knock out a few journeymen with rabbit punches.

Agreed, although I think he’s always been a slow fighter and would have struggled with Parker regardless of his age.

 

I personally don’t think he won is my honest opinion. It may be a minority opinion but that’s my view. Parker went into retreat survival throwing BS shots that were hardly landing except on Zhang’s gloves but he only has himself to blame for not knocking out Parker.

 

No skill gap. Parker ran and Zhang did not force the issue. Parker is no Sugar Ray Robinson.

 

Zhang wasn`t throwing many punches at all.
