They both have JMM in their resume aswell. Pac win over Cotto > May win over JMM.

    Agreed there.

I think Pac has a better resume overall.

On the JMM matter to the other guys I just don't know enough about his fights with him to judge so I may have overlooked an important fight.

A lot of people r seriously caught up in Pacmania and think he is the GOAT. Ur opinion is irrelevant.

I've even posted a thread on this a few days back. Pac's resume is so much better than Floyd's that even if Floyd beats Pac I will still have Pac higher in ATG status.

My reasoning is that Pac has consistency been challenging himself against a variety of tough opponents, while Floyd has been a welterweight for quite a few years but hasn't fought Mosley, Margo, Cotto, Quintana, Williams...even Berto (woulda been a better comeback fight than JMM). Mayweather doesn't challenge his god gifted skills, while Pac challenges his every fight. Thats the difference for me, straight away he got it on with the best at lww and then ww.....amazing.

Altho i must say Floyd has time to correct this and start fighting the tougher fights out there. If he does that it will not only be good for him, his bank balance but for boxing as a whole. Thats why I am becoming a ******* lol as he is really showing whats possible in this great sport; he has many non boxing fans talking. Brilliant i say.

How is that even mate, v JMM Mayweather had every single advantage, another example of him beating up a small guy; was uber defensive against a lil'en an didn't get a stoppage.

Pac v Cotto, Pac had all the advantages against him, he isn't a ww IMO and still utterly dominated Cotto and got a stoppage and entertained!

FM then complains that we all complain that he picks on the lil'ens....i wonder why. Must say Castillo and Corrales (rip), yea thy were great opponents, the Corrales performance was awesome. I want that Mayweather back.

floyd's resume is much deeper and richer than pacs just by going through the weight classes they fought in.

pac @ 112--won wbc flyweight title only 2 title defenses

floyd @ 130-- won the wbc jr.lightweight title 8 title defenses (beating genaro, manfrdedy, hernandez, chavez, and corrales)
    _________________________________________________________________

pac @ 122--won IBF super bantamweight title 3 title defenses

floyd @ 135--won wbc lighjtweight title in first fight at the weight 3 title defenses
    _________________________________________________________________

pac @ 126--beat barrera and drew with marquez
floyd @ 140-- won wbc light welterwith title from arturo gatti in devastating fashion
    ______________________________________________________________-__

pac @ 130 won wbc jr. light weight title from juan marquz (lost to morales and fought him 2 more tiems at a weight morales could not make. first time he started draining fighters to get an advantage. fought barrera again when he was not even highly ranked at 130 anymore.)

floyd @ 147--won wbc welterweight title (1 title defense) defeated baldomir by being outweighed by 15lbs did not ask for a catchweight. defeated zab judah, and an undefeated ricky hatton.
    _________________________________________________________________

pac @ 135 won wbc lightweight title (again no title defenses, and fought the weakest champ at the weight.)

Floyd @ 154 won wbc jr. middleweight title from oscar de la hoya no catchweight asked for outweighed by 15bs fight night.
    _________________________________________________________________

pac @140 fought a shot hatton

pac @ 147 fought a shot hoya and weight drained cotto
    ________________________________________________________________

based on this anaylsis floyds resume is greater by a country mile. the only real name on pac's listy is barrera at 126 and marquez at 130 but those two fights alone don't make up for floyds body of work at 130 where he defeated much bigger and more dangerous fighters.

pac has time to step up his game and fighting floyd is a step in the right direction of course without a cathweight.
    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

and one more important factor is that pac has never dominated any weight class he has fought at.

    "I'm not fighting for legacy."

"We're not fighting to prove to boxing fans, who the best is?"

    then say

"I just want to be the best."

    "Uh...uh...where was Pacquiao in 1999?"

    ...flyweight...

LLOOOLLL i just have to laugh.........Baldomir isn't even competition lol and then to call Cotto weight drained is laughable. Why not give the man credit were credit is due. FM gets the credit for Castillo, Corrales. And if you match up their weights Pac is better. How many greats has Pac fought to FM?
