Were you all raged up when Ortiz, Tarver, Berto and Toney popped for Nandrolone?? A MUCH, MUCH more hardcore PED. I sure didn't see as many "BAN HIM NOW!!" posts when those guys juiced up
Probably because of the sneaking suspicion that "everyone's doing it." In the end, that doesn't matter because if you get caught you have to get actioned or everybody SHOULD be doing it, but that's probably at the route of it. A sense that he was just stupid enough to get caught, and that's all there is to it.
Seems like everyone who pops positive gets a pass anyways. It also seems like we're gonna have HOF classes coming up where half of the guys enshrined will have positive tests on their record. Either you vilify everyone who tests positive, or no one. Anything else is bias.
I defended Povetkin during the Melodium chapter, but no more. He's a scamming piece of dirt. To hell him that guy.
I'd hold out ballster until we hear all the details. The sample that failed was one they flew all the way to the other side of the world to LA to be tested, when they could have brought it yo a European lan twice as easy Especially one in Switzerland (most neutral country in the world) I'm waiting for all the details
Anyone who believes that world champion level professional boxers don't use performance enhancers is either naive or ignorant. Seriously. Outrage and anger directed at outed athletes only makes the culture of lying worse, as otherwise honorable athletes have no choice but to blatently lie about this ****. The drug testing culture as it exists encourages corruption and primarily benefits elites with the connections to rig the regulatory bodies. Tony Thompson and Tyson Fury have both pointed out that the solution to the problem is legalization. Real fans of the sport (eg people who respect pro boxers as human beings) ought to consider their perspective.
Yup at the moment the well connected boxers from the right countries are given the run to dope, while less well connected boxers get shafted. It is used now I think as a negotiation tool like in may weather pacman Where the a side made the b side use he's drug testing organization that was corrupt and allowed him to dope and have ridiculous t-e ratios while the b side wasn't even allowed painkillers for an injury
People who defend PEDvetkin are just full of **** and have no good character (at best). WBC has to be commended for their efforts to clean up trash like PEDvetkin from the sport.
