How can people possibly think Roy Jones went to 200 lbs naturally?

So he's already a big and ripped guy for his weight (as a natural person), but he goes and decides to add 30 lbs (20+ of lean muscle for one fight with in 6 months?) and people believe this is possible naturally?

 Funnily enough I was watching Jones vs Ruiz a few days ago (well a couple of rounds of it) and I thought the exact same thing.

I racked my brains for about 20 minutes trying to work out how he could've done it and then all of a sudden it just came to me. The answer you are looking for is an over the counter supplement by the name of Ripped Fuel. :yep

Yeah, most of these elite level athletes are on something. Roy was certainly no exception. Gaining 20 pounds of muscle takes a long time. When you're in a sport so cardio-based and do it in a short period of time, it becomes pretty obvious what's going on.

Whilst one is the same guy that helped Hopkins move up in weight guess he should be under investigation since there is all this speculation

Honestly, I was completely blown away watching that fight. Ruiz, say what people will, was a tough and rugged fighter with a very physical style. I always thought that he was very underrated, so the win just blew me away at the time

You're quite clueless if you think he fought @ less than 180ish as a light heavy. He weighed close to 190lbs regularly. He didn't gain more than 5-10 lbs to become a heavy and his bf% went up as well

    Your figures are way out.

Most of the time, Roy used to rehydrate by 6-8 pounds at LHW. His fight night weights were normally between 181 and 183, pre Ruiz. I think he weighed 182 for Woods in September, 2002. He then went to Mackie Shilstone (who'd taken Michael Spinks from LHW to HW) at 192 pounds in January, 2003. Mackie says Roy had 8.7% body fat, and he changed it to 6%.

Ah yes ripped fuel that harmless over the counter sports supplement that gave Roy 20x the testostrone of a normal man. How the drug testing agency bought that excuse is beyond me. Even if he said he was pumping himself full of testtotrone daily and had a drip pumping it into him over night it would be hard to believe he had levels that high

Respected boxing writer, Thomas Hauser, reported that his second weigh in was 199 pounds, and if 3 pounds were subtracted for his clothing, it would have made 196 pounds. So that would have made him around 14 pounds heavier than what he'd weighed on fight night against Woods.

    Again, your figures are out.

I can post you links referencing Hauser and Shilstone, and the behind the scenes documentary - "The Sweet Science" that follows Roy in the build up to the Ruiz fight, is still available on YouTube.
