How can Sergio move like that for 12 rounds?

Probably a combination of all the soccer and cycling he did growing up, coupled with his relatively late start in boxing. Oh, and training his ass off every fight.

I've always thought that if there are any potential boxing greats to be found elsewhere it's in sports like soccer, tennis, etc, not American Football. Having great explosiveness coupled with insane stamina makes for a pretty good base to start from.

I think it is also his understanding of breathing and catching that extra wind again...and again...and again which can be from his years of training in other sports like cycling.
He seems to understand how to fight when tired and push through that pain threshold.

It's still crazy considering it's not just about moving around the ring but also having to punch someone with full force, taking punches back, and then clashing into your opponent which in this case...was bigger/stronger....all take an incredible amount of energy.

That's a good point. Sergio just seems mentally tougher than his opponents, more willing to go to places that they will not or cannot.

It was a glorified sparring session for most of it tbh.

shatup, you not no real fan

oscar mayweather, thats what your talking about.

one fighter was smart enought to get the frek out the way of punches and moved. you just wanted a war, you could be more suited to UFC.

What are you on about you illiterate fool?

Martinez had hardly anything coming back at him for most of the fight which is why he could skip around with his hands down with little worry of something connecting.

Guy has been doing the same routine for years. Body just gets used to it. He seems like a fitness freak.

Well yes, he probably does take some form of PED, along with every other top boxer in the world. It doesn't take away from the fact that he works like a maniac in the gym, and has a naturally huge reserve of stamina from his years of endurance training. Stamina like that does not come in a bottle.

Personally, my body has felt the difference in the way I went trough my forties but just then. Until I reached that mark, I was able to train hard and harder like whenever before. Nothing specail here since the same story took place when Hopkins and Tito fought in 2001. Now, what Hopkins, Toney, Antonio Tarver and Roy are doing is a lil bit unhealthy.
