Very unknowledgeable statement. The heavyweight division has always been at "an all time worst", even when Americans dominated it.

Joe Louis vs "the bum of the month club" doesn't sound familiar?

    Rocky Marciano vs handpicked bums

    Floyd flying glass Patterson

Who were the great fighters Sonny Liston fought?

Larry Holmes vs a heavyweight division "at its all time worst".

It won't change if there are Americans dominating the entire top 20 heavyweights, it never has before and it never will in the future. I remember reading how Tyson was only a blown-up cruiserweight ruling a division of the "all time worst heavyweights" in either KO or Ring magazine back in the day.

If you don't believe me, read some old, old issues of boxing magazines. It's been the case of "but now, I really mean it: the heavyweights are at the all time worst" for the past 82 years. 82 years from now it will most likely be the same thing. I predict 10 years from now it will be the same thing.

I think the post Klitschko heavyweight era may be very good but for a different reason than many think. It's not that the Klitschkos are bad; it is that they are so much better than the rest of the division. Without them the division really would be "wide open". There would be chaos. Hopefully a single promoter wouldn't take over and keep the definitive fights from happening in order to protect his own investments ( sound familiar? ).

Besides, I quit liking Wladimir Lewis when he started fighting like Lennox Lewis.
