There's no way to force Haye to fight Wlad. As for the belt, you could argue that Wlad already has a claim to it, as he beat Chagaev who was a co-champion at the time and was only stripped afterwards.
I think he would. There would be too much money to be made, to refuse. Also if he would beat Vitali, it would be weird if he was scared of Wlad after it
Wlad beat already the then rightfully WBA champ in Chagaev, so this means not much. He should fight Haye though. If Haye would be as slick inside the ring as he is outside he wouldn´t have to worry about Wlad.
No no no. Mandatories are only important to Haye when he can use them to avoid fighting a Klit. If they become his mandatories then suddenly he will be looking to take voluntaries instead. Hmmm. Evander Holyfield next maybe? I don't think the WBA want anything to do with the Klits anyway.
IMO Wlad is the WBA Champ too. Valuev refuses to fight Chagaev, his mandatory. How could Valuev be Champion? Wlad beat Chagaev.
Valuev was WBA champ because, Chagaev failed to defend his title against single mandatory or credible challenger in two years.
He should just let Vitali fight Haye. I'm sure he'd be more than content, after his bro's done with Haye, to just jump in the ring and give Haye's lifeless corpse a few kicks while saying to Boothe as he lays over his prize investment, "If he dies, he dies"
Why are you laughing? I'm not implying that this will or should happen, i'm merely answering the thread. Idiot.
Valuev got the belt because Don King pulled strings to hand it to him. Gillermo Jones has been two years out of the ring and he has not been stripped, why? Because he's a Don King fighter too. Nice try though.
So you think Gillermo should have been stripped because of that? Or do you prefer fighters holding their belts without fighting mandatory’s and real challengers?
If he wins, he would be made super champ anyway (because of the other belts he hold) and the regular title would become vacant, so I don't see any disturbance?
