regurgitate the same fighters over and over again.. Gotta love the WBA you can lose your last fight and still be ranked #1 in the division.

At least they first let him fight a 40 yo hasbeen first, before they just gave the #1 spot to one of their old champs... So actually they're improving :D
But it can prove very usefull at times. If the Chagaev - Meehan winner (he has a punchers chance) beats Haye it will make Haye and the WBA look pretty bad, with the beating Chagaev took from Wlad.

Yeah you conspiracy theory could be the true (I doubt it), but dont post it like it is a fact.

They could have been fighting in Finland same reason Valuevs last fight before that was on Switzerland, to get fresh new audience and full arena, because people in Germany wasnt too intrested seeing Valuev again.
Expselialy seeing Valuev vs. Chagaev again.

Match had huge intrest in Finland, because it was first HW title bout ever in Finish soil.

He was WBA Champion in recress, while Valuev was WBA champion.

Ruiz vs. Valuev II was for the vacant title, because Chagaev pulled out of their rematch look it up.

They stripped him his Champion in recess status and cleared the confusion around WBA title.
Whole idea for his status was, that he will face winner of the vacant title bout between Valuev vs. Ruiz when he is healty.
So it’s obvious that he can’t hold his status, when he challenges other champion.

If you look my post I said he didn’t defend his title against real contender or mandatory challenger in two years

Valuev won the title after winning bout for the vacant title, against John Ruiz. You know why he fight for vacant title? Because Chagaev pulled out their fight claiming injury. Making it two years without real title defence

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

You are seriously comparing Chagaevs competition with Drummond and Skelton to Liakhovic, Ruiz and Holy.
All those three was ranked top 10 by WBA at the time of fight. Two of them top-5.
Valuev competition has 7 heavyweight titles between them. Chagaevs opponents 0.

Evenmore every one who knows even littlebit about boxing, knows that Skelton and Drumond are nowhere near Liachovic, Ruiz and Holy.

Meehan is 40 years of age and has not fought for about 2 years. I do not think that this is a fresh match up. Chagaev will win easily. Meehan is ranked so high only because he is a Don King fighter.

Not really a good solution, give up one (actually 2 he then has to give up the WBO version also) belt to pick up a less respected one. But it is a good answer to the actual question yes.

by the way, love your avatar :D

In there prime yes not the washed up jokes he fought thats like giving Holmes credit for Ali... Ali held multiple titles too... fighting washed up shades of fighters does not make them viable wins:deal
... Also holy wasnt even in the top 10 rankings of the WBA until after he signed to fight Valuev... they ranked him then without fighting to give him some legitimacy as a challenger holy was also domintated in his prior fight by ibragimov... Being top ten WBA doesnt make you legitimate in any way hell you can lose your last fight and still advance to #1 contender:lol: oly thing that proves is how big of a joke the WBA has become..

Maybe it indeed was a conspiracy, but how did they know that Chagaev is going to fight against Wlad?
Without that fight Chagaev vs. Valuev would have happen later on.

Maybe Wlad and Haye, where involved in this terrible scheme.

Yes. Valuev was Champion and chjagaev was champion in recess who can fight against real champ when he is injury free.
Before that he however chose to fight for different championship so he was stripped of his status.

    Sure they were.
    Miles better actually.

They were completely different league, than bums who fought Chagaev.

Everybody who is not completely biased should know that. (Doesn’t include you)

Yes they did. Valuev was listed as champion, because he won vacant title in a bout against Ruiz.

That fight take place because Chagaev injured himself and wasn’t able to defend belt against his mandatory Nikolay valuev.
Making it two years without mandatory defense.

You are confusing two different times Chagaev vs. Valuev II was scheduled.

First time Chagaev pulled out because he was injured. WBA decided they had enough his bull**** and held Ruiz vs. Valuev II for the vacant WBA Championship.

Second time is when apparently this grand conspiracy was planed, to delay Chagaev vs. Valuev II for couple months.
