This is concerning Mayweather vs Guerrero.

147 is Mayweather's best weight as of now. He's fighting another top fighter within his division.

How come Ward, Martinez, Pac, Marquez etc can all fight other top boxers within their divisions? Yet when Mayweather takes on a "top" fighter in his division it's a cherry pick. Simply absurd.

Some of the hate is unwarranted, by people who will just hate whatever opponent Mayweather picks.

Some of it is justified though considering the fact that Mayweather doesn't have many fights left, and he fights so rarely. He's P4P number 1 so a lot is expected of him, Guerrero isn't a big puncher and is moving up from lower weights (even though he has two decent if possibly over-rated wins at WW).

There isn't a huge amount of other options out there for him at the moment. If he was fighting twice a year, then fights against the top 10 guys like the Guerrero's of this world would probably be more acceptable to some people.

If I, just like the majority on people on here, were earning 40 million per fight would you box more than once a year... Especially having spent 35 years of your life boxing. I'll wait.

Again another weak ass excuse, if you were making 40 mil a year why fight more than once :-(

The standards were set by guys like Leonard,Tyson,Delahoya ,Ali etc ..All these guys made a ton of money and took on the best money didn't drive them to greatness,it was their desire to prove they were the best ..But I'm starting to realize that it's this generation that accepts mediocrity and calls it great !

And the majority of true boxing fans like for their champions to fight often !

Guererro is a top 5 fighter in Floyds division.
Hes a 4 weight world champion. He hasnt lost in 7 years.

Yet Mayweather is still said to be cherrypicking.

    He picks some tough cherries!

Who else is he supposed to fight right now??

Alvarez? People would have said hes cherrypicking a guy,who has beaten no one.
Martinez? Hes a 160lbs fighter, why should Floyd fight way above his natural weight to prove himself? Hes not even a big 147.

    Marquez? Already beat him,easily
Pacquiao? Coming off a KO loss.
Bradley, just has a fight and theres that whole TR issue.

Haters are just the same. He consumes all of their waking thoughts. Sometimes, they even dream about what hate threads they will post to start the day.

its Floyd man lol he will never satisfy all of his haters.

If he fights Canelo, Canelo is green. Flat footed and tailor made for Floyd.

If he fights Sergio, too old, weight drained.

If he fights Bradley, Pacquiao beat him first.

    Cant win.
