And Mayweather knew this because the stringently studied the WW division to know exactly who would be his toughest competetor? Mayweather probably never even heard about Baldomir until he beat Judah. Then was put on blast on ESPN for not fighting Baldomir and then after he offered Arum a contract to fight Margarito which was turned down of course the next logical choice would be Baldomir who was placed on his radar by defeating Judah and being accused of ducking him on ESPN.

There is no way of Mayweather even knowing how strong or tough Baldo would be in the ring. All he knows is that he defeated Judah and was the lineal champ. Even with all that Mayweather could have been fighting at 140 and Baldo outweighed him by 17pds on fight night. There isn't many Junior WW that could move up and defeat Baldomir giving up 17pds unless they had elite boxing skills.
