And not quiting against Byrd when he has fight won, and can cruise to victory since Byrd didnt have the power to stop him even if he finished fight with one hand down!

I would say he has redeemed himself for that now with lennox and chisora.

If someone like Razor Ruddock, Tony Tucker or Frank Bruno was around in the division today instead of the Klitschkos, they'd be dominating it as well, which would have them regarded by some as ATG's.

Vitali's legacy is being up on the scorecards before getting stopped by an overweight past prime Lennox Lewis. Frank Bruno was up on the scorecards when he got stopped by a prime Lennox Lewis..

As said earlier, he quit by proxy. He didnt say a word when the corner talked with the doctor or when butterfly stiches were attached to his cuts.

Then suddenly, almost as soon as the fight is declared over, he jumps up and makes a scene :huh

    --------

Vitali's legacy rests in two concepts:

-He barely loses rounds. Total domination, during his prime and past his prime.

-His comeback. He has beaten several contenders since his comeback in 2008. He has been past his prime and still dominating all of them.

I don't think Vitali is an ATG heavyweight. But he is a Hall of Famer and a Top20 heavyweight of all time.

Possibly Tucker, who was pretty damn good, and had good size and discipline to go with his skill, but not Ruddock and definitely not Bruno.

Ruddock was willing to go to war with a prime Mike Tyson, and held his own. You're telling me he couldn't beat guys like blown up LHW 40 year old Mormeck, past prime blown up SMW Chris Byrd, an underprepared Ruslan Chagaev who wasn't the same after falling ill with Hepatitis? Blown up CW David Haye and Sam Peter!?

Bruno may have gotten stopped by prime Tyson and Lewis, but he is underrated by many.

Tyson is called an ATG tho he was brutally KO'd by one of the worst contenders in boxing history.

Riddick Bowe is called an ATG tho he only beat one top fighter in he career.

Holmes is called an ATG tho he was just geting by 10, 12 , 15, fight novices on MD's and SDs.

I don't think Ruddock had the consistency or composure to have lasted as long as Wlad, not with that brawling style of his. I think at least one of those opponents you mentioned either beats him or gives him fits (not Mormeck of course).

I like Bruno but man he was stiff as a board, and as robotic a fighter as any I've seen. Faded late down the stretch, and didn't have the boxing nous to survive getting buzzed or KD'd. No way he goes through Wlad's opp without tasting canvas.
