    Really? Think about it

They both gotta do it right ? Its like checking handwraps, even though the person doesnt have a history of doing it you still check coz u wudnt wanna be cheated out of a victory

I was always under the impression that if both fighters arent on drugs then its a fair fight, and there can be no excuses. The guys that are defending it need to think about it properly for a second. A 5 minute drug test cant hurt that much.

And for the guys that think its a physchological ploy, explain just how a drug test is meant to physche someone out

most fans think drug testing should be a bigger issue in the sport.

for example james toney got small bans for testing positive twice.

he cheated twice and the boxing authorities basically said so what.

test these guys more thoroughly and leave no doubts.

and punish the ones who cheat with harsher bans. :deal

I agree 100 %, if your doing everything legit then how is that going to affect you mentally. If anything it should encourage you to train harder to shut your opponent even more. People are forgetting both fighters will go through the same testing, not just Manny. Let's get it on, we are already getting cheated this fight not being made in Dallas, because of money. They are thinking just about the present not the future of the sport of boxing. Lets quit the bitching agree to things like this.

Either you agree, or disagree. Especially to drug tests. its not done on the individuals terms.

Now that I think about it, I hope this is one big publicity stunt to further boost the excitement of this fight.

It's just posturing from Mayweather's side. You realize that the report is coming from GBP, so consider the source. I will reserve judgement until I actually read/hear Manny or Freddy say that they are absolutely opposed to said testing and what exactly the terms would be/have been.

The test is so simple it would not effect training at all. The blood taken would be minimal and I mean like two syringes full. Also it is pointless having the tests done before the press conference and after the fight as there are ways out there to cheat the tests.

By having random drug testing there is no way either fighter would risk their legacy by using performance enhancing drugs therefore there would be no more debating about Manny being juiced up!

But at the end of the day, I miss the days when two fighters could just come together and fight. Both camps are delaying this process way further than it needs to be.

It doesn't look good for Pacquaio to be avoiding the blood test. He apparently doesn't want to take the olympic style testing at all. If he's on something, it would crush him and a lot of the momentum that boxing has received over this period of time. Mayweather's willing to take these same test but Pac won't? Pacquiao looks extremely suspicious right now.

Olympic drug testing would not even work anyway whats the bitching about from floyd???

Tour de France cyclists preferred drug is EPO, same as Mosley used.

This increrases red blood cell count and gives more stamina basically,

this can be taken even 6 months before and you would still have higher blood count levels longer after the drug has left you.

FOr thsi reson cyclists can be spot tested at random

In other words theres a knock on the door and they want to test you then and now, refuse and you are out.

Olympic testing would nto stop this.

As for bodybuilding roids or olympic tests forget it , and even EPO aint proved for boxers/

Lots of people are scared of needles.

Anyway, I can't put the uselessness of Olympic-style any better than doylexxx has.
Drag negotiations out long enough and the party with the least time to lose will give up a lot of concessions. Check out just about every class action lawsuit.

The onus is on Manny why not submit whats he trying to hide I see no reason for a clean fighter wouldnt submit to a blood test 30 days out makes me very suspicious?

Not 30 days out, but rather "within 30 days" and at random times. This implies that blood could conceivably be drawn the day before the fight. How much blood is required for sampling in unclear also.
