More unique than asking for testing that isn't normally done? These guys are both masters at this ****. It is what they do for a living.

i think the reason for asking for this testing is more likely to be rumors of pacquiao juicing getting passed around than rumors of pacquiaos blood superstition getting passed around. rumors of sportspeople juicing get passed around day in day out.

For yrs it has been common practice to test for PEDs in boxers. This is on anther level. Having Olympic style testing would be like having fighters go through an invasive procedure to ensure that fighters didn't have metal plates inserted into their hands before every fight.

You can mess with someones physche easily....some are un-nerved easier than others....some have routines and methods they are use to and throwing anther element into the mix can cause some issues for certain people. Just like Nard looking over Tito's wraps...having them re-do everything....Did it have an effect?:huh I have no idea but it could have done something positive for Nard knowing he won a small battle right before the actual bell.

LOL.....nah....PAC is very well respected and recieved by the majority of the boxing public. Nothing is tainted regarding PAC and his career. He's this eras version of the golden boy only more dominant. The only ones who question PAC and PEDs are his haters....and being the best you got plenty of those. Floyd has them too......just not as bad.

manny has had history of having his blood tested days before the fight. it was the fight against morales the first time.. His camp blamed that as the reason for manny ineffective with his power punches. (also the gloves) i suggest that you watch the post fight interview of larry merchant in pac-morales 1.

Manny is clean floyd, just man up and step up to the plate.

They are willing to agree to it a week before the fight. That's some BS negotiating if they're trying to do it 24hours before the fight.

is the blood test he is refusing after the fight? I can understand before it, but after it then it is just something he has to endure.

    This a quote from ARUM.

We’re willing to do all kinds of urine analysis. We’re willing to do blood testing before the last press conference and after the fight," Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, told ....... on early Tuesday evening."We’re not willing to do blood testing while he’s in training because he (PAC) claims it weakens him. And one major doctor we talked to says that blood testing is absolutely, totally irrelevant. Totally irrelevant. We’re willing to do random urinalysis at any time."

Travis Tygart, chief executive of the United States Anti-Doping Agency, said a blood test can allow testers to detect use of energy-boosting synthetic EPO, human growth hormone and "a number of potent performance-enhancers not detectable in urine. . . . With a [30-day] window like that, you could dope to the gills and get away with it."

AND THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE REFUSED TO TEST DURING TRAINING CAMP BUT ONLY BEFORE IT AND AFTER IT

I can defend it by saying it is unfair. If everyone has to do it then fine.
