If you went first? I love how people claims pac, hatton, and cotto is better than floyd by stating that they finished the silmiar opponents faster. Like Pac to Oscar in 8, Pac to Hatton in 2, and Cotto to Sosa, judah, Corely and Hatton's castillo in 4, but really how can you do better if you went first? All those fights pac, hatton, and cotto took floyd's leftovers. I won't going into petty details about age and worn and tear of those similar opponents. Floyd will have a chance to fight JMM and do it better than Pac taking someone elses left overs. would that mean that he is better than pac if he beats jmm more convincingly? no... Also Style plays a big part of the result. Floyd is a safety first fighter so more than likely it will take him longer to finish fighters. Simply not his style to press for KOs. He is the type of fighter that can win rounds over almost everybody so he doesn't feel the need to chase. I am just shocked to see how many noob post about this comparsion.
By that logic I think you're assuming that when a fighter losses once he's finished. Hatton certainly wasn't and was still in his prime IMO when Pac smashed in a quicker, and more devastating fashion.
In JMM he is not only taking on leftovers he's fighting a much smaller guy. Question for Floyd Will you ever fight a decent welterweight?
ur a dumbass. I'm saying that it doesn't matter. You can't tell what was the point of the thread..... So if floyd beats JMM more convincingly does that make floyd better than pac? Is ridiculous.
No, you're the dumbass. You're stating tha one fighter can't do better than the last fighter because somehow he's ruined leftovers after he's already beaten. Nothing but typical, casual fan bull**** logic if you ask me.
Because Hatton was coming after a long layoff which obviously left him prety rusty in the ring. I noticed that very clearly. It don't matter though, neither one of those guys beat Hatton did they?
I laid it all down for these biase posters on advantages of going second, styles, and fighter's mindset can produce different types of result and their response is "so if a fighter loses one time they are finished?" idiots.
you are ******ed... when did i say that a fighter is ruined? leftovers equals ruined? yea thats what i meant. your very smart! i mean i even cover that base by saying that i won't go into petty detail of age and worn and tear.
Tzyu beat Judah first and did it more impressive than anyone since then. Foreman beat Fraizer first and did it better than anyone Oscar beat Leija before Gatti, Tzyu, Mosley or Lazcano and did it better. Phillips beat Tzyu before Hatton and did it faster. I could go on and on and on literally for pages here but my point is that this is a moronic opening post. I can completly agree with the styles part of the post but to say that you can't look better because you fought a guy before someone else is plain stupid.
Everything has to be placed in perspective. Sometimes when a fighter looses he's never the same...other times he comes back a better fighter. Unfortunately with PAC and Floyds common opponents its hard to tell. PAC is the smaller guy moving up in wieght to fight bigger men....bigger men whom floyd already beat...Not in the fashion PAC was able to do..but Floyd did it first. Floyd is a larger man than PAC...he's had a life long career with Boxing in his blood. he's had more opportunities to make his career and resume a great one. But he was only successful and making himself a GREAT BOXER. His resume doesn't really match his talent and ability. But at least he has a nice undefeated record. PAC on the other hand had a rough start...one that wasnt' promising for the talent he is. PAC started his life and career in the Philipines. Not a lot of opportnity but he was able to make the best out of it. He lost some fights early on but he's come back to have a GREAT career and Resume and has become a GREAT Fighter. Maybe not as good a boxer as Floyd...but no one out ther today is on Floyds skill level. Oscar got a close decisions loss at the hands of floyd a year before PAC was able to crush the same Oscar in 8. Floyd soundly beat and won by TKO over Ricky Hatton in a semi challenging fight for Floyd where PAC was able to demolish Rick in 2. Completely different styles in PAC and Floyd but the exact same fighters. It's not easy to compare apples to oranges.
That's exactly what you seem to be implying you douchebag. According to you fighter B can't do better than fighter A because somehow the man is automatically damaged goods after the 1 loss. Nice logic there, idiot. :nut
