    An uppercut.

As for the rest, this topic is ridiculous. We're talking about a highly athletic 6'7" man, yet somehow some idiot expects him to bob and weave as if he were a 5'10" Mike Tyson clone.

Vitali is much more robotic (and ugly to watch) than Wlad.

Wlad is more fluid and not really all that robotic.

you mean the punch he cracked Brewsters jaw with?
oh yeah i too think he should improve in that area. Next time he throws it against someone he should at least pop both they eyes out with it

I don't think Wlad is robotic btw, but he is a bit flat-footed and an outside-only fighter. What's gonna happen he faces an aggressive, puncher/swarmer? You can't take anything away from him though, what he does is effective and he is the HW champ.

Actually, his fights are pretty damn exciting. What makes them less than thrillers in the fact that they are typically so one sided.

What makes his fights great is the chin factor. We know that Wlad can be hurt IF you can get to him...but who can break through this new guard?

Wlad went from a vulnerable offensive machine constantly in 5th gear to a nearly invulnerable, conservative one that can shift gears. He has become extremely complete as a fighter. He has arguably the best jab, right hand, and left hook in the division! How often is that the case with a pro HW?

Some of his fights are worth watching simply because they are executions in action (Byrd, Austin come to mind). You watch that fight simply waiting for the other to get knocked completely senseless.

There's no doubt Wlad's inside game leaves something to be desired. One thing that I liked about Lewis was despite his inside game not being the best, he DID use it and often effectively.

I'm not sure Wlad needs it though. Supposedly, he used to be much more inclined to fight on the inside, but my guess is that a lot of the snap in his punches goes away when he's so close. Steward has him typically tie up or push off on the inside...not the most crowd pleasing, but effective.

But hey, George Foreman never had an inside game either, really.

It's also a "pain" to fight them.

to me the best thing about watching W.K. and V.K. fight is that with how robotic they are they are like surgeons in there just waiting and setting up for that perfect shot and when it comes they dont miss with it and it is usually devastating just like last years k.o. of calvin brock even though i am a brock fan was awesome and easily one of the best k.o.s last year

You know what's pathetic about the imbolden sentence? If Wlad wasn't in the picture, and some Average American fighter was shutting down their competition you wouldn't have made that claim - most people wouldn't....You would instead praise the said fighter for beating the competition, how great he is......That's the truth.

He has a pretty good uppercut but it's the only punch he doesn't throw very often. A shame, because a lot of opponents are lunging into him face first.

Dude I'm getting so sick of people's ****. The "you have no heart and no passion for fighting if you didn't come from the ghetto and have to claw your way out of hard living" argument is just about completely worn thin. ****ing Lampley and HBO only contribute to this **** with their maudlin spotlight pieces on fighters from humble backgrounds and constant harping on this or that fighter's 'story'. So what, **** happens, poverty and tragedy befall some people, in the context of following boxing I don't ****ing care. All that matters is in-ring ability and accomplishment and by those criteria Wlad reigns supreme right now. Another foodstamp-collector-to-US-Olympic-hero Cinderella story from the mean streets isn't going to change that, it's just going to make stupid ****s who don't deserve to follow this sport feel good about themselves. You want a hero, read comics.
