When it's obvious TopRank doesn't want the fight to happen, no matter how much money is on the table. Now that it's apparent that Arum doesn't want any parts of Mayweather, lets see how Pacquiao's career is once people realize he's never going to fight Mayweather.

The date is set for May 5th ... Why can't this fight happen ... instead they're making plans for Pacquiao to fight in June? ... Against the likes of Peterson (no chance), Marquez (who he beat twice), Cotto (who he already knocked out), and Bradley (the only one with a legit pulse but unproven at that level).

In this case, it's 50/50. Floyd "retired" and went on "vacation" when the fight could have happened. Now that he feels ready to make it, Arum isn't so sure about his guy.

I've never called Floyd a ducker, but if he hadn't pulled the whole drug test bull**** out of his ass this fight would've happened two years ago. That **** right there is indisputable. Now it looks like he wants the fight but there's been no real negotiations, for all we know he's just ****ing posturing to look good in the media. Arum looks like an ass like he always does but it wasn't his fault the fight fell through so many times. He didn't come up with some dumb ass idea to bring in blood tests before a fight, and he didn't come up with the idea to refuse the blood tests.

Floyd retired in 07 when Pacquiao was at super featherweight !! ... Pacquaio didn't start to come up until he fought DLH which was when Mayweather was scheduled to rematch him but elected to Retire... there was no talk of Pacquiao v Mayweather until Mayweather came back to fight Marquez.

do you not think that arum would have wanted to get some more fights out of his cash cow before he had the riskiest fight of them all?

They don't stick a syringe in your veins and pull out blood when they give tattoos. but that's not the point. The point is it wasn't Arum's idea to bring up the drug tests, and if it wasn't for that they would already have fought.

Al Haymon is Mayweather's advisor, and surely makes a lot of money off Floyd's fights. If Floyd loses then Haymon stands to lose a lot of money.

Floyd is ****in undefeated dude ... Pacquaio is not ... there's more risk on the side of Pacquaio ... everyone expects Mayweather to win every ****in fight. It's just that the media has hyped up Pacquaio beyond belief and now that it's time to show up ... Arum is scared. He used to promote Mayweather and he knows that Mayweather is a beast and that he would destroy Pacquaio.

I think that there's more risk if you're undefeated. If Pac loses, he's already lost before. Floyd loses who knows what happens to his drawing power.

Look what happened to Berto. He was undefeated and Haymon put him in against a guy who got KTFO by Maidana, and Berto lost. Berto who was undefeated. Haymon doesn't want something like that to happen to Floyd.

fair point i guess. however i think that al haymon is not in charge of who floyds fights, floyd is, unlike the arum pac relationship (roach and arum discuss things IMO).
