    He will have been dying to trade, that's what has served him well his entire career.

    To stick to a plan and do something that isn't natural to him that goes against his instincts will have took a huge a amount of discipline.

    He will have wanted to trade and knock ruiz out but had to be sensible. Tonight was about the win, getting the belts and saying goodbye to ruiz once and for all.

    again, it's one fight. time will tell if he employs this strategy going forward. i'm expecting a balance of this and his more aggressive prior style against bigger and slower men, this fight tonight being a safety first method to right the wrong of the first. it was a necessary adjustment.
