1. Barry M. After the Fight "I have Anthony 3 points in front but it very well could be 3 points behind." In the real world Anthony was beaten. 2. Wba official in Australia Derick Milham and judge for this fight, had Geale winning 4 Rounds . CAN'T Kill the cash cow can we.
A rematch has to happen Teke if Mandy is up for it. It was a great fight to watch, I forgot to mention this.
Whats gonna happen in a rematch? More of the same? or is someone gonna balls it up & actually go for a ko.
Did you watch the fight.....mate they both went hard....not much of the normal Mundine hit and run...it was a great fight and I thought a KO was going to come from one side or the other. Whats your Ko % westy in your fights?
Really? I didnt. most were slipping. You could see the difference in the last round when choc started going?.. he got tagged a bit and it opened up.
I reckon so. As someone else mentioned, he's given Sammy 3 go's at it, and none of them were as close as yesterday.
A rematch would be sweet, but I kinda want him to step it up a bit, so if he does this instead I think his decision would be well supported. But does he step it up from here? Hope so.
I agree with u totally Boxon. I couldnt believe Geale's team didnt ask for an official change to 1 of the judges after Derek Milham was announced as a judge. Poor work from his management team IMO.
Man, what up with you guys, the fight was great and fun to watch, look it was close, I personally had mundine winning it, I'm up for a rematch, Look just enjoy it, Mundine can fight and is world class so is Dan now he proved it.
It was a fun fight to watch. Competitive from start to finish. But I don't want to see them do it again. Neither guy can hurt the other. I can't see Choc fighting Pavlik...he wouldn't last 6 rds and would spend every second on the ropes. Sturm beats him too. He can rematch Geale but I couldn't care too much about a second fight.
Mundine would seriously get put in a casket vs Pavlik..Pavlik's big weapon is ko power. Mundine took alot of shots and luckily for him they were from a light puncher in Geale.
I didn't see the whole fight yet, but will obviously. Can anyone shed an opinion on Mundine getting hit more? I know in the last few fights it's happened a lot more than we're (and Mundine I'm sure) is used to. I'll make my own judgement, but do you think it's Mundine's age catching up finally, do you think he's fought guys who's power he's not afraid of and thus is open to more hits? (i.e. if i he fought Kessler again would he try stand and trade now or keep running in and out?) or do you think he's just developed as a more complete fighter and can take more of a punch? I've missed all of his fights since Soliman II other than hight lights simply because I want him to fight someone with a pulse (Geale obviously has a pulse but he was simply an undefeated Aussie MW Pro... not normally the most formidable type of opponenet no?)... I guess what I'm asking (and I'm keen on what you say Teke as we have similar views) is, is Mundine sliding down? Or is he deceptively becoming more complete? - getting hit more isn't necesarily a bad thing in Mudine's case... Knowing he'a not afraid to take one is rather comforting and a nice change really. Hopefully the latter - he's definitely lost some power AND stamina of late.
