I remember when a mw champ said "anyone to 168 can get it"....and so the 168 kingpin wanted to make a fight...between two top p4p fighters that would have been great....instead the mw champ decided hed like to fight for alphabet trinkets in a weak division

oh well...we cant win em all can we?

 

Come on! You can't blame Canelo for not taking the GGG fight anytime soon.
He got beaten from pilar to post inside the courtroom today. A life changing beating so to speak, and it takes a lot of time before he recovers fully to even think about taking the GGG after that. :bart

Well here we go again. Try and refute the below. I mean actually try - don't just write lil g is a coward or some other irrelevant BS.

Ward was too good to make a jump straight up to 168 to face in his first fight at the weight. You know, like Kovalev was too good to face in Ward's first fight at 175.

If Golovkin had beaten Froch and then not fought Ward it would have been and out and out duck. As it stands we don't know if he'd have been willing to face him or not. What we do know is he wanted a big money tune up against the second best fighter in the division, who at the time was far more active than Andre. I'd say that's fair enough.

I even said it was fair enough that Canelo has a fight after beating Cotto to acclimatise to 160. He chose to face a chinny welterweight. That tells you all you need to know about him and his intentions at middleweight.

ward was on an almost 2 year layoff before coming back and switching to a new division

saying a guy is "too good" to fight is a way of saying "im afraid to lose" ...which is a duck....u don't get to say "oh ill fight this guy at 168(who happens to be good) but the other guy is too good"......that's chicken stuff

ward is taking hbo fights because hes letting hbo pay him lil g protection money...they wanted him to move up so lil g didn't have to answer to fighting him
