oddsmakers dont reflect necessarily how they see the fight going- but how they see the betting going. theyre starting with floyd as the favourite- because well...he hasnt lost. and so the betting public will bet on floyd to win. thats how they make the money- by predicting not how they fight will go , but on how people will bet, if they placed odds on results- they wouldnt make money. they make money because people skew emotion into their gambling. as the fight , if the fight, gets made, and gets nearer , betting will start to even out and even favour paquiao because he is more popular- not necessarily a bigger draw- but more popular (people pay to watch floyd lose, people pay to watch manny win- both pay to see them box- but there is a difference).

This, and those reports are reported to give the bettors an idea where to put their money on. If you are a gambler, you usually bet on the underdog because your money earns more if the result goes in you favor.

No bias on those reports dude, just shows who is the current favorite. Usually changes up until the fight itself.

If you're in the states, then that is the common flow of things cause when it comes to these type of fights (american vs foreigner). Those betting on the foreigner usually put their bets late.

well barrera and oscar dela hoya are also favorites when pac fought them. it's all good since floyd has the stylistic advantage and is the naturally bigger fighter of the two. if floyd was more active and pac was not as impressive as he was in his last few fights, the odds would be much be wider for floyd. this means that if pac pulled the win, it would be seen as a much greater accomplishment.

Bookmakers employ odds compilers that are experts in the field, odds can be changed by the weight of money being placed on one boxer or the other but generally what the odds are telling you is Mayweather is expected to beat Pacman by the experts.

I'm a big PAC fan and I agree with the oddsmakers in installing Floyd as the slight favorite over PAC but PAC been an underdog many times before (1 to 4 against Barrera, 1 to 2 against Hoya) and successfully defied the odds. So I'm not worried at all if PAC is the underdog or not...:D

    ''I'm a Floyd fan''

    Just like has been said

Im an unashamed ******* but Floyds style is more suited to beating Pac than vice-versa. Floyd has fought fighters and betean agressive come forward guys before ( though granted none as ferocious as Pac ) but Pac hasnt beaten a guy like Mayweather before.

Id hope for a pac win and I can see him overwhelming May , but its correct that Mayweather is favourite

I think cause of size. Make Pac vs Floyd at 143 or 144, and Pac would be the favorite.

also, Floyd has an undefeated record, which people gobble up like crazy
