How come anytime WLAD is about to defend his title an upset is on the horizon?

Now see.. this actually sounds pretty logical what you've just said. It's fine if someone thinks a guy has the tools to foil Wladimir's gameplan but Austin? Brewster? .... Rahman? :nut

Two words to answer the thread starter's question:

    "Wishful thinking"

That and Wlad's demonstrated ability to mentally fall apart, gas out and not take shots particularly well. :hey

Shaky chin means everybody with a hint of power has a chance to beat Wlad. People are always going to jump on the underdog chance with Wlad because you'll look brilliant if you get it right.

It's the way the wood works.

Because.....you know....he has that slight problem....a touch of glass in his jaw.

This aspect of Wladimir is underrated. It's all true but he's only truly mentally fallen apart against Corrie Sanders.. who had the speed and power to repeatedly land flush on Wladimir and take him completely out of his game.. plodders like Samuel Peter and other one punch at a time HWs have been able to drop him but were never able to capitalize on this.

And Wladimir's stamina has been fine ever since winning the IBF title.
