BEcause he is a 1000 times better than Hatton. Hatton is irrelevant to boxing and Bradley is a p4p talent. Oh yea and im sure you arent English.
Dude, the name of the game is what have you done lately, otherwise Holyfield and Bowe would still be the top ranked heavyweights. This is about who is better right now. And wins over undefeated fighters, good contenders, lightweight champs moving up all within the last year are better than wins 2 and a half years ago against a shot ex 126 pounder, (Castillo) more than a year ago against a featherfisted ex lightweight, (Malinaggi) a win almost 5 years ago against an old champ past his prime and getting mugged with illegal tactics, (Tsyzu) and getting knocked the **** out twice. So yes, right now, Bradley has earned the right to be ranked higher. Because going by their most recent performances, Bradley is better. Just like, going by their most recent performances, the Klitschko brothers deserve to be ranked higher than Bowe and Holyfield, even if Holyfield beat Tyson 14 years ago. This isn't rocket science. Get with the program already.
Does anyone on this thread think Bradley wouldve beat or done better against Maywheather and Pacquiao than Hatton did when he fought them? With everyone now knowing how Pac has carried his power up with him in weight Bradley would probably last longer against Pac but hindsights a great thing. In truth I think Bradley would have done better against Pac due to styles but still have been KOd considering he was put down twice by Holt, but dont think he would have done as well against Maywheather. But Bradley hasnt fought at that level to be sure what he is capable of.
a complete shutout against malanaggi is a better win than any bradley as had in his career. bradleys good but he hasn't achieved **** yet.
Yes... i do think Bradley would have done better against Pac, no question about it. And just because he was put down by holt doesnt mean he gets stopped by pac... Im not sure on Mayweather.... I have to see more of Bradley against boxer types.
Then with what you say why do so many ratings (not all) rate Hopkins higher than Dawson, Hopkins beat one LHW over 3 years ago, then has only fought guys from lower weights since, even losing one of those, when Dawson has a win over Adamek, and at this stage probably due to age looks better
I agree with you about Malignaggi. People like to ignore that win.... Do you have Hatton ahead of Bradley? and if so let me ask you though who are your top 3 140lbers? please dont list pac because when you have one fight there without plans on ever fighting there again i think we can throw him out.
i think the best 3 are 1 hatton 2 bradley 3 khan i realise its open to debate with the likes of urango and maidana though.
Im no fan of Hatton (If you think I am check some of my old threads) and am not yet sold on Bradley. Why do you think Bradley is such P4P talent when he beats an old but good LW with headbutts in Campbell and gets put down twice by Holt to win a close decision & has a win over yes an undefeated fighter but who was also untested, when Hatton has a KO win over Malignaggi and a KO win over an old but better LW in Castillo. I havent said what country im from or tried to guess what country your from. It shouldnt matter to you or anyone else. It dosent matter to me what country a boxer comes from I enjoy boxers from all countries and dont like to get involved in patriotic arguements or use this forum for insults. But hey if thats your thing
ok, fair enough... now i would say, throughout the history of boxing, when a number one loses in bad fashion, its a standard that he drops to around 2-4.... then has eather a rematch with the guy that beat him, or then fights to be number one again with his peers (fighters from 1-5 ranked guys) Why is Hatton the exception? How can the number one guy, get completely blown out in 2 rounds, and then stay number one? Thats just not how boxing works.... that is all im saying, its not so much that im sitting here, damn bradley is 10x's better then hatton with a better resume.... no, i do think Bradley would beat Hatton head to head, but like you stated, Malignaggi is a better win then Bradley has at this point, and Hatton just got that one. But with Hatton struggling on and off before then (urango, lascano) and Bradley putting in solid work (witter, holt, peterson) and seperating himself from the pack (especially should he take on and beat maidana next) its just the logical progression of boxing that when hatton got destroyed in 6 minutes that he loses his spot, and bradley is there to replace him. and to not count losses against a fighter just because they were against great opponents is a bit extreme.... yes, a loss to pac is better then a loss against 99% of the guys out there, but its still a loss... and a devistating one. I am not one that counts guys out just because of a loss, they happen when you fight the best, and thats why hatton is still number 2 in my eyes. Now.... if Hatton was seriously concerned with his place, and boxing was run how it should be, Hatton and Bradley would fight to see whos number 1, and the 140lb Champion. But anyways, thats my take on it....
Technically, a bunch of Hopkins last fights have been in the Light Heavyweight range. If you check boxrec, the official weights for his bouts with Tarver, Winky Wright, Calzaghe, Pavlik and his last fight were all in the light heavy range. So he has 4 wins and 1 SD loss as a light heavy. And for the record, I personally wouldn't rate B-hop that high, as I feel it's too little work to recognized #1, especially as all those fighters are either faded, or fighting above their usual/prime weights. That answer any questions? :good
My mistake Bradley dosent have a win over an old but good LW in Campbell it was made into a ND due to using illegal tactics something which Hatton gets rightfully critised for. Bradley gets put down twice by Holt for a close win and only won his title by split dec (I thought Bradley was a close but clear winner), When Hatton has a solid KO win over Castillo and a KO over Malignaggi. Bradley hasnt fought at the level of Maywheather and Pacquiao, so im surprised he rated higher
