Clottey has done it, Mosely has done it, Guerrero has done David Haye has done it, thats how its done these days guys are content to just lose but save face by not going out on their shield. They put on the prevent D and stall until its all over.

Back in the day guys would storm in taking huge chances and get cut to ribbons or make something happen. Those days are gone.

How would you characterize Canelo, D?

What "immense disparity" are you talking about? In no way was there an "immense disparity". Floyd won by slightly edging Canelo in many of the rounds, but in no way was it a walk in the park for Floyd. It's silly to say that.

I saw an immense disparity, s. (Floyd rat-tat-tatted him like a heavy bag, punctuating it with the same lead right, like a broken record) Interested what other posters saw.

Hmmmm, goes to show what each of us look for.
Rat a tat I agree with, but I did'nt see Mayweather punctuate it repeatedly with the lead right you talk about.
Certainly Mayweather landed lead rights, just not at will.

I would call immense disparity the way Marquez repeatedly jolted Pacquiao's head back throughout the first three fights.
Always being the ring general keeping Pacquiao at the distance he wanted him while Marquez took that half step back on a charging Pacquiao.
Then Marquez letting go his right hand repeatedly every time Pacquiao shot out his left.
Thats what I call one style dominating the other, the counterpuncher repeaedly putting mustard behind his punches of the type that cant be called "rat a tat"

I feel Alvarez should have 'taken him for a walk' more..

    By this I mean.
Feight punches by walking towards the opponent to simulate a combo (4 punch step, step, step, step). Floyd was walking backwards when Alvarez was throwing his combos generally.
Then throw a four punch combo on the back of these when you are in better range & Floyd is backing up.

Would like to have seen this.

I wont talk about cotto. They made a poll between hatton and canelo.

Hatton is winning 64 to 10. That's all you need to know

To keep it simple, I believe that he(and his team) were preoccupied with pacing and managing rounds, due to his tendency to gas out prematurely.
