He just wants to spend time with his family from what I gathered in interviews he made a lot of money so his ok......... he can go on more but cotto has taken a lot of hard punishment it would be a good time for him to give it up even though he still could go on for maybe 2 years at the top.
How much has he made? He's got a huge following, fought LITERALLY every top fighter of his time, and has accomplished a ton.
Not May or Pac money but has made at least I think 50-100 mill and he is very smart with his money doesn't gamble doesn't drink and doesn't womanize he probally has more money then Pac even though Pac made much more but he has been careless with his money Yes he fought the best around although he did duck Golovkin but I give him a pass for that
I heard Miguel owned multiple gas stations in Puerto Rico. $$$$ if true. Yeah, he doesn't seem the squandering type.
I wouldn't be surprised he seems very smart and has a very good family behind him drugs/drinking/women/gambling is the biggest ways to lose money and he steers clear from each and every one of them
Reasons were being a real Diva *****. Refusing to fight viable opposition. Avoiding any titlist at 154, and also refusing to rematch Austin Trout. Instead calling out 135 pounder Juan Marquez and trying to make him move up to 154 for a fight. That isn't respectable. That is called being a *****. I won't miss him. He is a guy that if the ref's had of done their jobs and penalized him for fouling, his career would never have got off the ground. His intentional low blows changed the outcomes of at least four bouts when he was younger.
Cotto lost my respect after he was LEGITIMATELY beaten by Antonio Margarito he jumped on the loaded gloves BS. He waited till Pacquaio had destroyed Marg's eye socket to demand a rematch Cotto STILL could not beat a basically one eyes opponent he had to rely on a crooked doc to save hom from quitting AGAIN !!!!!
His ducking of GGG turned me off him. One reporter brought it up and Miguel just walked away! GGG got to him.
