Chambers, at his best weighed 223. He was slick and actually had some power to keep the solid chinned Peter honest.

Haye at his best was 222 vs Ruiz. He was winging power shots and showed some punch resistance against a guy with a pretty decent cross in Ruiz.

Now, I don't think Chambers has the concussive power to KO guys like Potvetkin or a Klitschko, but Haye DOES. His main problem is fear of being starched. That is one of the biggest reasons why he should work with Lennox Lewis. Lewis at his best weighed about 240-245. While Haye doesn't have the frame, he's not all that far from Lewis, except in that he seems to be more worried about not being able to run, or maybe he envisions himself something of an adonis.....IDK.....but IMO......He'd be best around 230.

It's also partly a name thing. I mean, "Cruiserweight champion"? It sounds gay.
    - And "Light Heavyweight champion" sounds like an excuse. (to casual viewers.)

Maybe they should rename the CW division, to give it more visceral appeal. Something like the "pitbull" division, or the "T Rex" division. Yeah, that's it .....

That's way to heavy for Haye. He doesn't jab or throw a lot of punches but the ones he does throw are power punches so he needs to be able to get close and move away before getting hit hence why he is in the 210's when he fights

And we've seen how far that style can get him. When he fights with heart and isn't fighting scared as you've pointed out, he's actually entertaining and WINS. See Barrett, Mormeck, Ruiz.

When he potshots like you've shown he looks like a timid fox trying to snatch an egg. See Wlad and Valuev.

Now, you tell me that a guy with such fast hands, and good footwork should continue to fight like. Even when he could take Lewis up on his offer, comeback a different fighter and become a sensation. I think he's stronger than Seth Mitchell, and he's definitly more skilled, yet Mitchell will likely go on to crack a dozen or so more big names and possibly take over the division when the K2 are gone.:think

Cruiserweight has no historical merit. None.

I genuinely think Haye is a match for any heavy out there today,speed/movement/power ..Its his fear of looking stupid n getting sparked that his problem..For the money he gets he should give it his all.

He doesn't have a jab so he cant fight like that. He is a counter puncher not as refined as some though.

He's good at what he does but to try and fight like you're suggesting would fall right into what both Klits would like and used to

Its not just cruiserweight, in most weights the best don't stay there. They move up.
Look at middleweight recently Pavlik Taylor Hopkins abraham have all moved up.

True that! But if there is no money why not just get rid of CW? Its a division where no one pays attention to. Its useless.

Why not get rid of anything below 122? No one pays attention to it.

The name of the division needs to be changed.
