How come Floyd doesnt call or challenge Sergio or Canelo since they both just won?

some average but overhyped contender will pop on the scene soon, and floyd will challenge him.

    Not legitimate threats. No chance.

Alvarez is more likely to happen because he's a massive name but definetly has big holes for floyd to exploit.

I personally think it would be a massive mistake for floyd to fight alvarez.

Make up your mind. It's either a massive mistake for him to fight him, or he has big holes to be exploited?

Nor should he, Martinez just kicked a cruiserweight's ass, and you want a small, ageing welter to fight him :-(

I'm not sure. He seems to just be focused on promoting right now. I think we may hear more about his comeback in a month

floyd vs Chavez jr would be cooler.
One mexican walking through all the shots, this time he would finish.

The problem with this is, the only times he's fought at 154 were a) against the number 1 money maker in the sport at the time, to potentially shoot his career into the stratosphere monetarily (so much so, that the same formula worked for Pacquiao against a faded version of said fighter). And b) against the smallest JMW competing at this present time.

In his fight with Cotto, he weighed 151 at the weigh in. Martinez, due to his years at middleweight now, would more than likely rehydrate all the way to 170+ So at 36, Mayweather, in your opinion, should do that of the strength off two bouts at 154? Where it clearly wasn't his best weight?

I'd love to see the fight, but not at a catchweight. But the only way it could be fair, would be if it had one. Martinez coming in there with a 20+ pound advantage, just isn't. I definitely don't want any Pacquiao-like weight drain ****, so the fight might as well not happen.

So easy to **** with runaway nani. He doesn't watch very much boxing, just Manny and what's around him.

Also, one poster mentioned "Sergio is too skilled." LMFAO, it isn't his skill in the sport of boxing at all, it's his unorthodox style mixed with his excellent coordination.

Floyd is always disinterested, vacationing, retired, and/or filled with shoddy excuses whenever a true challenge(s) awaits him. I wouldn't be surprised if and when Hatton gets a couple comeback wins under his belt that he doesn't seriously entertain a rematch with him, maybe even in the UK if they will allow him to shoot that numbing **** into his fragile hands. When a low risk/high reward opportunity presents itself Floyd is suddenly and magically interested, back from vacation, unretired and devoid of excuses.
