It was obvious who won that fight and it was Floyd. It shouldn't be no rematch or question who won that fight. Even when HBO showed the highlights he only landed a few punches. And they said it was close. Next fight = same results. Oscar should just quit

I don't think it is criticism for fighting Oscar. It is criticism for not fighting Cotto.

If Mayweather fought Cotto in September 2008 and Oscar in December 2008, would the people be so angry with him?

Because Cotto is the most deserving challenger to Mayweather. His fans can scream all they want about how Cotto dosen't bring money to the table but why would they care what Floyd (already a multi millionaire) gets paid? Simple fact of the matter is, Mayweather is doing boxing a disservice by taking on ODLH instead of Cotto.

I'm with anyone who'd rather see PBF-Cotto then PBF-DLH 2, but in all honesty, i don't see how Cotto is definitely more dangerous then Oscar. If Cotto and DLH fight eachother, it's a toss-up IMO.
The thing is that he's already fought DLH, and he hasn't fought Cotto.

Well what I want to know is why everyone talks about mayweather ducking Cotto, when Hatton himself just lost to Money May and doesnt want to fight Witter....lost total respect for this guy especially after watching him fight Urango seems like Hatton huged him to a UD.

Hatton IS getting flak for not fighting Witter and rightly so. But what do you think is more important, Hatton v Witter or Mayweather v Cotto?

I think we shouldnt focus on just Cotto V Mayweather there are plenty of fights that should be made other than this one. In my mind there is no possible way Money May can go through his life not boxing Cotto its just a way to get more publicity. They want us to demand Cotto V May.

That's it exactly. Cotto is the rightful #1 contender and that is the fight that the boxing fans want to see. I personally would have no problem with Mayweather fighting DeLahoya AFTER Cotto, and I don't think anyone else would either.

    Because we want Cotto-PBF!

What would the difference in purses be seriously??
Bob Arum offered PBF 8-10 mil a few years ago to fight Margarito. NOw Cotto is his main fighter and im sure he would offer PBF somewhere between 10-15 mil.

Didnt PBF get about 15 mil purse for the DLH fight and 10 for the Hatton fight?? plus PPVS i know but im sure he can get that with a Cotto fight too.

Not to mention it would do wonders for his legacy wether he wins or loses.
    This is a WIN-WIN.

I think Arum is right. PBF just worries about that "0" way too much because as much as his fans say it. Cotto has a very good chance at beating PBF.
