Somewhere in Oscar de la Hoya's mind, he must know deep down that GGG is the far more dangerous fighter than Canelo is. Look what happened after Canelo/Khan, at some point, Oscar must've said to Canelo you can't fight Golovkin. We want no part of him. (based on the premise that he will be beaten by GGG and Canelo's stock would drop). Hell, Canelo won't even fight top 10 middleweights like Lemieux or Stevens and look now, Canelo picked the weakest titleholder at 154. Like seriously? What for? Canelo won't even fight the top guys at 154 or 160, let alone GGG. Sounds to me that Canelo is limited in who he can fight whereas GGG, I'm sure would be willing to fight anyone from 154 to 168 and most likely win.

Like Oscar could easily pull a Don King, get Canelo to fight GGG, make a huge payday for Golden Boy promotions, drop Canelo after cashing him out, then sign GGG and promote he's the new star and make money off him cuz casuals will think "oh GGG must be good if he beat Canelo"

So wouldn't it make sense for Oscar to sign a guy who will fight anyone and probably know that he will most likely win? Whereas Canelo, he needs all kinds of BS to help him and even then there's no guarantee he will win.

K2 won't let GGG go and GB already lost money on stealing fighters

    GGG too loyal I reckon.
Re what you said about Oscar though I've often wondered myself,Ho does he break it to Canelo,"look el pollo I can't put you in with GGG,fight this Smith guy instead"?

I'd say GGG is too loyal to leave. He has money, he seems like a humble dude who doesn't need 100s of millions.

GGG does not seem to have cross-over appeal, have you guys seen his numbers?

Why would DLH be interested in promoting someone who doesn't sell?

Also, Canelo's career is NOT based on an undefeated record so the idea that he would lose his appeal by losing to Golov is just plain dumb.

He actually has more to gain by facing GGG(even in a losing effort) then to completely duck him.

GGG doesn't sell? I guess those sold out arenas were just a figment of our imagination. Also, Canelo seems to disagree with you.

A 26-year old Mexican with massive PPV in his past and long into the future, or a 34-year old Kazakh with no PPV history or significant PPV fights Goldenboy could promote on the horizon beyond Canelo? That's hardly business dilemma of the century, is it?

True, but I think you GBP could make a killing in GGG's last 2-3 years as a boxer if they managed to steal him. They could put together some serious megafights. Heck, they could have GGG beat Canelo's ass, then have GGG fight for 2-3 more years until he looks cashed out, and then have Canelo come back for the rematch and pass the torch. That way, the fans would win too.

    1) GGG is with K2
    2) GGG is happy with K2
    3) Why would GGG sign with Oscar after all the BS?

The 34 yr old Kazakh is a FIGHTER!!! Undisputed 160 lb champ

The 26 yr old Mexican, disowned by Mexican fans is a cowardly diva

    Golovkin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pollo

I don't think Gennady would want to be promoted by someone who likes wearing black fishnets. Pollo & Cotto are more suited to him
