How come Groves never showed Booth or Hayemaker...

Well that’s poor from George. Booth was with him when the first Froch fight was announced. There’s obviously a financial reason.

He was mandatory, so unless Froch gave up the belt he would have fought him regardless

Fair enough re: mandatory but who got him into that position? Presumably his manager...

Not slating George, like him. But given he's mostly come across as classy it seems to lack class to me...

Almost half his career was spent with Booth and at Haymaker in terms of time...the majority of his fights.

Would it not have been Northern Cyrus if so? Booth is of Turkish Cypriot heritage and Groves and Haye used to train there with him.

Took him for 25% of his purse for the next 3 fights, Froch 1, 2 included

But he was obviously contractually entitled to whatever the court decided so more fool Groves tbh...could’ve had a decent trainer and camp for those Froch fights...

I don't know what went on behind the scenes but Booth was the best trainer out there for him by a mile

It was the other way round. He was usually on 25% but given the increased purse GG wanted to give him a fixed fee.

So is Booth the trainer/manager who takes 40% cut from his fighters? 25 trainer 15 manager?

You wouldn't thank someone if you think they took your money.

They both said it wasn't financial. Rumours at the time were that booth had too many fighters in the gym. Regardless the whole episode was a massive fail for Groves as he ended up not only paying Booth his purse for the Froch fight but also his next two fights as he was under contract until 2015.

Rumour has it Booth tried to hold groves down in the changes room so David Haye could have his way with him.

When Groves asked them what the hell do they think they are doing, they said it was in the contract.

What I find the most puzzling is the embrace backstage when Groves was in tears. If he wasn't his trainer, why at all was he still backstage. Strange shenanigans.

In regards to Paddy and Adam, he said both helped him but he felt they were more of a hindrance than a help.
