I am not sure being older means you have the right to cherrypick and waste the time of people who want to see younger fighters improve. If he loses on Saturday I hope he retires. Even if he wins it is obvious he handpicked Pascal, which means if he loses he really should retire. Hopkins lost to Calzaghe and Taylor. He is not unbeatable at all.

Pascal was a bigger reward fight as Dawson can't sell like Pascal can and Hopkins' greedy ass knew that lol.

From a big Hopkins fan.......high risk small reward and Dawson is a LOT more dangerous then Pascal, BHop knows his almost 46 year old body has limitations.

    (Set sarcasm meter to High).

Hopkins oviously bought into the hbo and ring mag hype of Dawson, and clearly knows **** about boxing.

This proves why style makes fights cause Dawson is all wrong for Hopkins in which is why Hopkins wants no part of Dawson. Pascal style i think Hopkins knows he'll win it. Hell even though Pascal won by 11th round decision, Dawson landed the better cleaner shots on Pascal then Pascal did on Dawson.

If Dawson put in the work he could had beat Pascal 7 weeks of training ani't gonna cut it ,he'll know next time.
Dawson to fight the winner and there was a rematch clause for the Pascal fight.

Hopkins just waited the winner, that's Philla's main point.

Former Hopkins wins against Pascal. Today's Hopkins knows what to do but his body won't follow the pace. Sad but it had to happen one day.

So Dawson being the #1 ranked LHW doesn't mean he earned his shot? so if dawson hadn't earned it, and pascal beat dawson (who isn't worthy), then how does that earn him a shot at Hopkins?

I wouldn't say Hopkins was ducking him. He just had better (and easier) options, like for example RJJ - getting more money with no effort, and avenging his loss on top of that. Calzaghe was probably also more lucrative fight than Dawson. At the same time, Dawson was busy fighting rematches with Tarver and Johnson.

the winner of Pascal vs Dawson earned his shot. Hopkins is a 45 year old legend, and if you're gonna put him in tough, it better be worth it.

anyone who thinks Hopkins was scared of Dawson don't know ****.

Hopkins didn't like that fight. If you have been following Hopkins, especially in his later years, he picks fights he knows he can win (or atleast thinks he can). That's why anytime Hopkins decides to fight, it's hard to pick against him, because he selects his opponents carefully
