How Come Hopkins never fought Dawson?

No offense but that's nothing more than excuse. Long before Pascal was on top, this match up was brought up and Hopkins wanted no parts of Dawson...it's well documented...Now that Dawson has lost Hopkins wants to fight for the top lh champ.. That's suspect IMO!

 

You're not even making sense given that this fight was brought up way before Pascal became a title holder. No matter how you try to twist the actual story, Hopkins has turned down Dawson on multiple occasions. That's a fact buddy!

 

We are not saying Hopkins was scared of Dawson. We saying mostly me feels Hopkins don't want to fight Dawson cause of Dawson style that could give Hopkins big time problems.

 

I respect BHop and his place in boxing's elite class of fighters. However..... he clearly wanted no part of a Chad Dawson match-up. Chad's style works against him moreso than what Pascal brings. Fighter A can beat Fighter B who beat Fighter C, then Fighter A can fight Fighter C and still lose handily. Styles make fights.

Hopkins is smart. He's taking a crack at Pascal now before a potential Pascal-Dawson rematch ever got made. I think Dawson would beat Pascal in a rematch and I believe Hopkins would also agree.

BHop sees something that he thinks he can exploit in Jean Pascal. The man just don't take fights unless he knows he's going to win these days. We'll see if Father Time finally catches up to him this weekend, because that's what its going to take for him to lose.
