Yet Roberto Duran, Joe Louis and SRR don't because there's a lot of them on their resumes as well, and probably many other ATG's
More than is deserved. People stand up for Wladimir citing many of his opponents as top 10 contenders or somewhat on the fringe. Almost all of Louis' "Bum of the Month Club" were top 10 opponents. He just fought all of them (I think it is a stretch of 9-10-ish opponents) in a stretch of about a year and was able to go around and still rack up HOF'ers on his ledger.
You're bound to have a few cans in a 100+ fight career, but Chavez also fought a lot of good fighters, some of whom are no doubt HOF. I'm fairly sure that he also fought more title fights than anyone else and, I think, more future, past and current world champions than anyone else. Chavez would also fight five or six times a year and managed to go 87 fights undefeated. He has a solid record. I don't think it can be said that he ever ducked anyone.
