How come Julian Jackson was able to hit harder than GGG even though he has the bigger arms?

just notice that GGG had larger arms and more jacked than Julian Jackson in his prime, how come JJ was able to hit harder than him? what are some other factors that gave him the superior punching power to GGG?

Power has nothing to do with muscles. Tim Bradley was featherfisted despite having one of the best bodies in all of boxing during his peak. Amongst active fighters, Inoue and Wilder are both massive punchers despite being beanpoles.

Mechanics. If you can get 75% of your body weight into a punch and another guy that weighs the same as you only get 50% behind his punch, you will be the harder puncher. Of course there is the speed of the punch as well. I think that's why Wilder hits so hard. He gets a big percentage of his weight into the punch and delivers it with speed.

Mechanics play a very limited role. Why do you think your hero Floyd, who was supposed to be mechanically flawless with picture perfect form and timing and accuracy, couldn't hurt or drop dudes at above 135? And that's with PEDs in his system.

    LOL!

Julian Jackson was incredible at getting the pectoral stretched way back while in sync with his hips, making his shots that much more concussive. Now, most fighters can do that to improve their punching power, but its being fast enough and with the right timing, to really maximise that shot.

Where do you get that Floyd is my hero? Anyway, if not mechanics, how does a smaller fighter generate more powerful punches than a larger fighter. Say a 135 pound Duran hit harder than a 147 Bradley. I know speed and timing play a roll, but without good mechanics I think the power is lost.

Yet you have guys like Hamed who was awkward in his punches and skinny but hit like a middleweight or a guy like Foreman who hit like a truck even if it seemed there was no weight behind his punches.
    Remember that cooney ko?
Guys like them or Julian Jackson just had it.

Maybe power cant be explained as in lege, torso, movement, fistsize, speed or anything.
You just have it or you dont. Just like speed or stamina.

Monzon smoked a shitload but had amazing stamina? Body's are weird and unexplainable like that perbaps?

Power is god given or enhanced with PEDs.

They tested their punching power on a Machine? How could one know who hits harder?
