How come many here bashing both Clottey and Cotto?

I find it hard to believe that many you boxing fans are bashing both fighters that really fought their hearts out last night ( it's 4am in the east coast so it's sunday already).


Now i want to talk about Cotto cut on his left eye, many here saying if it wasn't for the Cuts that Cotto would have won the fight easy. Need i remind some of you that Clottey if he wasn't knockdown in the 1st round could have won the 1st 2 rounds before the cut occur in the 3rd round? <<<<<In which shows that it would still be a close fight regardless of the cut. Paul Williams had a very bad cut in the 1st round vs Verno but it didn't stop Williams from easily beating Verno to a tko win.


Also for those that say Clottey fake a leg injury need to watch it again in slow motion cause how can Clottey can fake a leg injury by going down very hard? Has anybody been in the boxing ring and fell down hard the way Clottey fell down before? If not then how can anybody say Clottey fake an injury? Now about Clottey acting job on the back of the head shot by Cotto. Was it an acting job? Could be cause it didn't look like it was hard but at the same time if people watch it again, you notice when Clottey had his back turn, Cotto pause it for a sec and then he nail it.


Again both fighters fought a very good fight and both fought their hearts out. For those that are bashing Cotto saying he look terrible, well has anybody look good vs a style like Clottey before? Was Cotto a huge favorite? If not then he shouldn't be bashed on.


For those that are bashing Clottey cause he didn't do the championship whatever heart in the last 3 rounds. I thought round 10 was very close cause even though Cotto land 2 left hooks to end the round, i thought Clottey did well for the most part of that round. Round 11 and 12 Cotto won those rounds but he was mostly running away while throwing so it was hard for Clottey to catch him at that stage so sure Clottey could be tired but chasing a fighter that was running the last 2 rounds would make any fighters get tired.


It was a very good fight by 2 very good fighters and IT'S A DAMN SHAME THAT MOST HERE IN THIS FORUM ARE DISCREDITING, BASHING BOTH FIGHTERS. Cotto deserve respect for the way he fought and the same goes to Clottey.



P.S: Cotto cut above the left eye is not worse then Clottey leg injury. Was Cotto bother by a cut? Of course but don't say it's worse then Clottey leg injury cause leg injury can cause not goiod leverage on the fighters punch and did anybody notice Clottey offbalance from the same right leg injury? Again both injurys are like the same in different part of the eye and the leg. <<<<<<<<It's a part of the human body.



Also btw Pacquiao is not like Clottey that is a bigger fighter with turtle defense so how can anybody ( mostly biased Pacquiao fans) can say Pacquiao would beat Cotto just cause the way Cotto fought tonight? How is that prove anything?



Again a very good fight by two very good fighters that deserve respect for the way they fought. It just terrible that many here are disrespecting both fighters.

 

Whats wrong with that? Williams was also cut above his right eye but it didn't bother him from easily tko Verno. Sure Verno ain't in Clottey level but it still didn't bother Williams from easily winning. If you don't like what i said about Williams vs Verno comparasing then ignored that and read the rest.

 

I don't think theres really a question to be answer cause both fighters answer it and fought a very good hard close fight. I mean damn was Cotto a huge favorite going in that fight vs Clottey? Hell no but he's getting bashed on. Same with Clottey, why is he getting bashed on? Cause of most saying he fake an injury? Come on give me a break. I'll like to see those same people to fell down hard to the mat the way Clottey fell down and see if they think it would hurt or not hurt ? Stuff like that is sad to disrespect both fighters.

 

You must have reading problems i see. I only mention Pacquiao cause some ( mostly soriano) saying Pacquiao would beat Cotto cause of Cotto performance vs Clottey. How is that proving any thing if Pacquiao don't have the same style like Clottey? If Pacquiao the bigger fighter in frame like Clottey? I'm not bashing on Pacquiao i'm just telling it like it is.

 

You're right cause if Verno had an leg injury then it be the same as Clottey bother knee to Cotto bother eye correct? Ok how about this, Wright had a nasty cut about his left eye in which is worse then Cotto and he was also very out of shape but yet he still fought to a close decision lost to Hopkins. Cut or not Wright vs Hopkins would still be a close fight correct?
