Tyson's career can be made into an exciting highlight reel for people who don't watch boxing.

Lennox had a hard time winning over hardcore fans.

Just saw him fight, Ward is far from Boring, May and Froch are far more boring.

Tyson was the better boxer in his prime, he was 5'11 destroying much larger heavyweights, Lenox was a big HW himself.

You dont realize the importance of a name then do you halfwit?
I know how awesome he was and what he did for Boxing, but your granny and other non/casual fans would have struggled to connect with him if he had a boring and/or difficult to remember name.
It would have been far harder for him to connect with non fans.

The fact that he was born with it isnt the issue, its still a cool name.

If you cant see the importance of a name when selling yourself to the public, then why the hell do actors and singers change theirs then?
Why did Walker Smith change his to Sugar Ray Robinson? and Leonard and Mosley stick 'sugar' at the front of theirs?

Mike Tyson simply didnt have to, as it already sounds dynamic, powerful and memorable, which complimented his fighting style in a way Geoffrey Boswell for eg wouldnt have done.

    Grasped it yet idiot?
