How come no one mentions Pavlik's shakey chin?

Anybody trying to say Taylor has no power because he didn't KO Hops, Wink, Spinks, and Ouma...I mean think about that. He was KOing everybody before the Hops fights.

Before Hopkins Taylor was considered to be a pretty big puncher he had 17 KO's in 23 fights, a +/- 74% KO rate. That combo he hit Pavlik with would have stopped a Moose if not most middleweights. He had serious leverage on those bombs, each was thrown with knockout intentions, and they were flush. The fact that Pavlik got up so quickly, on shaky legs, and then fought back well later in the round says a lot about his heart and ability to recooperate amazingly from serious barrage. That sequence hardly qualifies him for shaky chin status. If he continues down the same road in the future though, it's going to catch up with him and he will get ko'd, but I see Pav going back to the gym and working on his defense so he does not let that kind of situation happen again. I think he's smarter than he is macho. He dodged a bullet and he knows it and it will be a lesson well learned

That's all there is to it! Well he did crack Ouma with a couple shots that looked like they should have killed him, but Ouma has that special kind of chin I guess. Watching those shots made me cringe but Ouma was still there.

Plus, he didn't really hit the deck. After a multitude of power shots by Taylor, KP merely slumped to the canvas & was up in seconds.

I agree but if he would've caught Spinks like that he wouldn't have recoverd from a 30 count.

No doubt. He never caught Spinks at all with something good. He did blast Ouma a couple times as he was rushing in, but somehow Ouma survived: And I don't think many others at all would have survived some of the shots Ouma took.

jt can hit very hard and he is a big mw, he hit pavlik flush with 3 piece combo and sum otha ****.i cant remeber what its was but he took very hard haymaker from jermain.

he was on ***** street bad, but the reason he was not stoped or counted out was because of his heart and chin.

you have to have a good chin to fight like he does, he nots affraid to get hit and loves to trade, trust the man got a chin.kinda like paul willams loves to throw and take a shot.

Not only did Kelly get right back up in round 2. He also ended up back on the offense by the end of the round, and then came out in the 3rd and beat the holy **** out of Taylor. Personally, having seen Pavlik fight 5 times, I knew right there Taylor would not see round 10 which was my orginal prediction; Pavlik by TKO in 10 or 11. But, turns out Taylor went down in 7!!!

he didnt just get up, he was in trouble the rest of the round, running around all wobbly, and barely made it back to his corner.

it seems like a lot of people didnt actually watch the fight, or at least the second. pavlik was done, and it would not, i repeat, not have been a premature stoppage if it ended there. someone said he was on the offensive at the end of the round. at the end of the round he went to go to his corner, but instead half fell into the ropes. i give him props for getting back in it, but those who are saying he only went down cuz he was cocky and took a bunch of flush shots need to give taylor credit than because it took 7 rounds of flush rights from pavlik to put him down. the whole arrogant argument though, doesnt matter. hes been rocked in multiple fights now, im not saying hes gonna get exposed or anything, but i think its a valid point that he can be shook up when hit with a decent shot. a guy like david tua is a granite chin, pavlik, in my
    OPINION, is not.
