Hey mister schooled, just tell me why you think Calzaghe didn't fight in the US when he was say in his late 20's or so. You tells us why? I would like to know your opinion since everyone seems to have ducked him.

how are they better? Europe dominates the Heavyes and Cruisers...even in the US.

Your fighters never leave home, and always want home advantage, so even when they are beat they get the desicion. Lewis V Holyfield comes to mind. Your fighters arnt better, you just assume it.

I'll tell you why. Because he was ducked by Bernard Hopkins and Roid Jones. Both of them priced themselves out of a fight with Joe.

Another reason: his promoters. Don't blame Joe. First, blame Mickey Duff and Frank Warren.

when calzaghe was in his 20`s the best american fighters in his weight class was probably echolls.

echols was a fighter who once turned down an american tv slot because they wanted to cut his purse from $30k as they thought they were paying him to much.

why fight infront of 9000 (pavlik v taylor) when you can fight in a real stadium infront of 20-50 thousand? With real atmosphere, the US is a bore-fest! you have no atmosphere!

oh.. So it was someone else's fault not Calzaghe's..I see For all those years it was someone elses fault. So for many years he hasn't been in control of his career I guess then.

the fact that you mention Lacy over Eubank is laughable! And typical american short-sightedness.

with all due respect to joe i don't think he's the sharpest of tools and would often go along with frank as long as he provided the big paycheck.

secondly, a lack of american talent in his division.

oh and FRKO, bollocks did RJJ duck joe.

No, he is not in full control. Anyone under a contract is rarely under full control. Do you know that Joe never made a single penny in his first 20 or 21 fights? He ended up OWING Mickey Duff £20,000 by the time he left him. Go figure. Boxing politics are extremely ****ed up.

I'm not blaming him for not being a American at all. That is crazy to say. What I'm saying is the best fighters and the camps were from and in the US. Why should Roy, bernard or anyone else who was recognized as the pound 4 pound best have to go out of the country to fight him?
