How come Pac gets more credit for ODLH than Joe gets for BHop?

    sorry, I scored Hopkins-Calzaghe a draw.

still though, Pacquiao's domination was much more impressive, obviously.

No, but certain people dickride White fighters non-stop, simply because they're White. There's much less of the opposite going on, quite frankly.

Besides, Calzaghe didn't even beat Hopkins, FFS. The judges beat Hopkins.

This isn't a stab at Pac, btw. I think he's ****ing superb and love the fact that he's proving people wrong by showing that the difference between 125 and 145 isn't really that dramatic.

Unlike the HW division where 20-40lbs usually comes with a 5-6" height advantage.

Yes, American judges in an American stadium robbed the American fighter. Despite punch stats indicating how lopsided rounds were in Joe's favour.

Hopkins landed the four best shots of the night - but he landed **** all else.

Not to mention, 85% of the American press gave Joe the fight, Lederman gave Joe the fight, Merchant gave Joe the fight.

But they all wanted to oppress against the American, right?

Right, so Bernard Hopkins suddenly went from the Taylor and Winky incident where the fights were ****ing close yet the media, including Lampley and Lederman gave him the fights.... to suddenly being hated by the Media and being "robbed' ?

The only person robbed in that fight was Joe, when Byrd scored it 114-113 infavour of Hop. 115-112 was the better score.

Pacquiao won a fight that he was suppose to lose. Calzaghe won a fight that he was suppose to win. Simple.

Yes. I had Pacquaio winning against DLH solely because I thought DLH wouldn't be able to contend with the activity of Pac.

I was more worried for Pac when he faced Hatton than I was for DLH, I felt due to the way Hatton rough-housed, he may be an issue for Pac. but Pac blew that ****er out beautifully.

Calzaghe won every round after round four (with the exception of round ten.)

i think ESPN and yahoo both had it 114-113 for bhop, be that as it may, there were still 15% according to your estimations, who thought that joe c lost.

none thought pac lost to dlh, i think that pretty much explains it. add to that the fact that pac was fighting at much lower weights years before that fight

Can you show us examples of this 85%??

Anyway the reason is simple. Pacquiao was the underdog going in and kicked the **** out of De La Hoya. Calzaghe was the favorite going in and won a close, ugly fight in which both guys looked bad.

Calzaghe got Hops on his own turf, with a pro-Hopkins ref, and Adelaide Byrd as a judge. That's like getting dealt a Royal Flush in a winner take all poker game with the Pope. He doesn't get enough credit for the win.
