How come PPL say Mayweather hasnt fought the best of his era??

do not care I only want him to fight Pac and and When He retires everyone will remember him at the only fighter in History to duck His greatest treat. Leonard is remembered only for Duran a Hearns, Ali is remembered for His Frazier. Barrera for Morales, Chiquita Gonzalez for Micheal Carbajal and vice versa De la Hoya for Trinidad and Mosley. People will forget about Floyd because nobody care about Corrales or Castillo.

Floyd should've fought Margarito, but the Mosley he fought wasn't a prime Mosley - quite literally the stupidest argument on the entire thread.

Mosley was lineal Welterweight champion when he fought Mayweather fresh off mauling the much-loved Margarito.

 

That fight will seal his legacy in boxing. win or lose as long as the fight happens it compliments his greatness like (duran, SRL, hagler, hearns)(Ali, foreman, Frazier) (Pac, JMM, Baby Face, Morales).

I don't know if your referring to me or who I quoted but let's be honest Margarito got whopped by every top level fighter he's fought, how much of beast did he look losing to guys like Santos, Williams or getting demolished by Mosley, Pac Margarito is a 2nd/3rd string fighter that beat up 4th string fighter. I almost give credit for Cotto but the majority believes he cheated to beat him had a chance to prove he didn't and got whopped in the rematch, what A level thing did Tony do o make hi one of the best of this era?

Williams through no fault of his own was ducked by every WW had to move up and got whopped when he started fighting guys the same size as him. Only notable thing he did was beat bum ass Margarito only to lose his next fight. Again what A-level thing did he do that makes him one of the best of this era.

By no stretch am I saying guys like Maidana/Guerrero are but Maidana has already done something neither have done which is successfully move up and win multiple title's Guerrero as well in the grand scheme of things Guerrero/Maidana are already above Williams/Margarito and there careers are still going so they could potentially end up wayyyy ahead of both. The only defining fight that hasn't happen at WW for Mayweather is Pacquiao.

 

what's amazing is a small group like to bring up Margarito like he' some top fighter you do realize he had a trinket WW belt under the WBO during the same time Prime Mosley, Hoya, Trinidad, Forrest, Mayorga ect... fought there how come as a title holder he never attempted to fight any of them meanwhile Mayweather moves up to WW in 05/6 and within 4 fights beat the last two true Undisputed WW champions, and the #1 rated JMW Champ..Yet guys like Margo get more praise like they actually accomplished anything.

 

OK, where would you rate Floyd as an ATG if he DOES fight and beat Pacquiao? Wins over 2 of the top 10 P4P fighters of the era in Pacquiao and Marquez.
